The hits just keep on comin’! The Girls in Trouble Team is back and they got some geekness to share with you. Among these things are Gantz, Fangire Queen’s final Persacon convention and their Blitzball game , Mei-chan no Shitsuji which is a J-Drama with plenty of Kabuto alum, X Family, Mark Waid’s Daredevil , Batman: The Brave and the Bold, Kamen Rider Double Returns: Eternal/Accel and plenty more.

Next HJU Radio Prime is still in the works, where the boys return to geek and talk about GARO: Red Requiem, but until then, sit back, relax and enjoy another session with the Ladies of Justice. :anime:

I'm suprised nobody brought up Natsumi in the female rider character discussion because that would've been an interesting argument over whether her role in the Decade movie war could be considered as useful or not and the whole fact of her just being there throughout the whole series even though the first episode made it look like she would have a bigger role besides reminding us that Tsukasa is human and not a rider god(I would call her the damsel in distress of the series but that was Onodera's role)

also, this may be the first time I've heard someone discuss the OOO section of Movie Core without it just being someone saying how much it sucked(I myself liked it for what it tried to do lol)

I think the reason why I didn't argue with Lynx is because I also couldn't think of a female character was really useful in a Rider series. Natsumi.... is not... the best... counter example. :sweat:~

I find Airi from Den O would have been a better example for being "useful" in a Rider series but all she really did was fall in love with the older version of the secondary Rider and had another very un-useful (is that a word?) female character in Hana... and .... yeah~ really couldn't argue with Lynx on this one. :sweat:

I appreciated their efforts for sure, but~ OOO's Core Movie section did fall just a little flat for me. I liked it for what it is and enjoyed exchanging commentary with Blade in the process We're not going to totally brush it off. We had fun after all~

*sigh* It was better than my mic which either picked up everything or nothing. You got a glimpse of home life with Angie in the background. I moved my computer into a new office space instead of the middle of the kitchen soooo~ next session would have less noise. Sorry~!

Though knowing it annoyed Inui the most gives me a small satisfaction. Kekeke~

1) Thanks for coming back! I've missed the balance with the guys' podcast.

2) I love the happy wide-eyed giddiness of angelicnoir, it made me chuckle listening during work.

3) I think the joke is that Gokaiger is like the Greatest Hits of sentai that everyone wished and prayed and rain-danced for but nobody makes the time to watch it. Ironic? :sweat: It's so good it doesn't need to be watched!

4) I think you guys are looking at this wrong. In the traditional stereotypical guy show, girls aren't supposed to be useful in the physical sense. Girls are the moral/emotional ground for the hero to come home to. Girls are useful in the emotional half (moral backbone, the support role), guys take up the physical. Even independent female Riders are made to need help. Femme couldn't touch Ohja until Ryuga took out his contract monster and she "defeated" him. L'arc was getting beat around by Undead and Glaive stepped in.

5) I didn't care for the Lost Ankh stuff either though he's supposed to be a characterization step for Ankh: [hide]Getting enough Cell Medals to sustain arm-self -> getting all Cores -> overcoming body-Ankh for control of his own body -> becoming human. From the first ep and on, every time he eats an ice cream bar, it's referring to his desire to be human and taste stuff. (The ice cream bar works as a symbol for Ankh in the same way underwear represents attachment-free life/desire for Eiji.)[/hide]
