More details on that Jackie Chan, Jet Li flick. The film is called The Forbidden Kingdom with Jet Li starring as both the Monkey King and a silent monk and Jackie Chan as T'sa Ho. An American teenager finds the Monkey King's Iron Cudgel in a pawn shop which transports him back in time.

And that right there ruined any interest for me what so ever.

Hmmm.... personally I like the concept and it's a fantasy I wish would happen to me, buuuuut..... yeah, this could turn to **** fast.

The concept had me until "An American teenager". Nothing against american teenagers but I just see this turning to **** and not being as interesting as it first sounded

It could be good. I think Warriors of Virtue almost got it right with combining Eastern and Western fantasy.

It's just movies like Bullet Proof Monk that drop the ball so hard and so fast that make me wince at this concept.

I think something like this could work, but it takes a tight rope walk of percision to keep this from flying off the tracks into stupidity.

I dont mean in skin color, I mean in the fact that the movie as a whole will just be some childish adventure and not really some bad ass kung fu movie.

well it depends who they cast too, cause we might get lucky and get someone who isn't too bad of an actor...though really...why must it always be American...? :rolleyes2:
