Hmm very interesting and very well written article. I can't wait till they release Part 2 and further the discussion on the emotional spectrum.

I can't wait till thursday, cause that's when I'm picking up my comics. I told the owner of the store to put aside anything and everything related to "Blackest Night".

If you think about it, Atrocitus is the embodiment of pure Rage since he is the first Red Lantern. Also, Hal Jordan could be considered the manifestation of Hope since Ganthet told him that he alone could power the entire Blue Lantern Corps.

But they aren't the avatars of their respective corps. All we've seen so far of the eight avatars are Ion and Parallax and we are told that Black Hand is suppose to hold the Black Lanterns just like Hal/Kyle and Sodam/Kyle held Parallax and Ion respectively and the violet one is called the Predator. Presumably the ones further to the ends of the spectrum would be more powerful and forceful than either Ion or Parallax.

You misunderstood the statement. Blue Lantern rings need a Green Lantern ring in the vicinity to do their mojo. Hal Jordan, for all his cardboard whitebreadness, has some of the strongest willpower of the Corps.

Well in the comics they've also noted that Agent Orange's power rivals the Guardians own power so he could in fact be the only Guardian/Ring Bearer for the Orange Lanterns.

As he represents Avarice, that makes sense.

Yat is Ion, as Hal/Kyle was to Parallax, as Black Hand is to.... whatever their entity is.

There is currently no Parallax bearer, as the entity is split amongst the human Lanterns' batteries. Red and Blue have never had one.

The Predator is an old Green Lantern villain related to Carol Ferris/Star Sapphire, that's been repurposed by Johns as the Entity for love.

I just got done reading issue 1 of Blackest Night along with the Tales #1 and Titans issue and just....wow....Just wow. I can't wait till next month when part 2 comes out.

I didn't misunderstand what you said, just stating that it could be possible that Hal could indeed be their host for their respective symbiote. Otherwise, Saint Walker could become that since he is a part of the Hope Corps.

If you think about it too, I'm guessing Parallax will make his return since being imprisoned within the four Earth Lanterns at the end of the Sinestro War. Ahh so that is who The Predator is, thanks for clearing that up for me.

It could be. I'm drawing a blank on who else could have that kind of influence over the dead.
