The Best Actor To Portray Batman

Conroy's the guy who voiced Batman in "Batman The Animated Series" cartoon. Apart from his awesome "Bat-voice," I'm not sure why many people would like him to potray Batman.

It's not just doing a "bat-voice". It's called acting.

Animated or not he acted the hell out of that role and was able to capture the spirit of the character in a way that no actor in any of the live action productions ever has. Not to mention playing the character at several different stages of his life including old-age.

As for Conroy portraying him, that picture you are showing is very recent and he's got a beard. He's an older guy now. But I've seen pictures of him from when he was younger and I really think that with the right script and production and trainer (rather like how they worked with then unknown Christopher Reeve for Superman) he could very well have been as awesome visually for the role as he was in capturing the personality of the character.

Ever since Batman TAS he's voiced Bruce almost every single time theres been an animated Batman  (the only exceptions being The Batman and Justice League: New Frontier). I'd say let someone else do the suit action and use his voice.

For me, Michael Keaton with Val trailing close behind...and anyone to make fun of me for liking Val gets a punch right in the nose!!! :shakefist

Val was good in Forever but

FAT VAL KILMER IS FAT :P

I dunno, I've seen plenty of the Batman Animated Series and while he did a great job there, he was still voice acting a cartoon character. That might not translate so well to the silver screen. It's more than about having a good gruff voice. I voted Michael Keaton because he really nailed the Bruce Wayne character foremost--he was blessed with all this wealth, surrounded by all these people, yet still alone. He really convinced me in that role that he was tormented by inner demons. And that in turn made his Batman better, because it was Bruce Wayne in that suit, not just the same guy that plays Bruce Wayne trying to sound scary.

This board is like the Bizarro universe.

On all the other polls on Superherohype and other sites; Christian Bale and Brandon Routh usually dominate these things.

It's amusing to see Bale with one vote.
