Im not straight but my boyfriend is
Well....I was born in 1985...so I have to say I don't remember much from the eighties. What I DO remember were:
- glow worms. I had one.
- My Pet Monster. I also owned one of these.
- Teddy Ruxpin. I wanted one so badly when I was little, but I nevr got one!
- I remember having two picture books, one about He-Man, and one about She-Ra...but I dont remember WATCHING the shows.
- Barbie and the Rockers...which was like a rip off of Gem and the Rockers. I watched that video MANY times when I was little...I dont think I ever watched Gem though.

Thanks to "Knight Rider", I have always had a love of the Pontiac Trans Am. (It broke my heart to hear the GM brand discontinued the sports car model.)
Some 80's phrases I still remember:
Care Bear, Stare!
Let's go Voltron Force!
Head 'um up, move 'em out! Power stride and ready to ride! (You have to watch "Saber Rider" to understand.)
I like it when a plan comes together! (You probably more familiar with another member saying "I pity the fool!")
Thunder, thunder, thunder, Thundercats, HO! (I pity the fool who wants to make this beloved cartoon into a movie!)
No whammy, no whammy, and STOP! (I'll miss you, Peter and Rod.)
Turtle power!
Who ya gonna call? (Ghostbusters!)
