Tensou Sentai Goseiger - Let's Descend!

Lately I've been thinking that Goseiger's actual motif may be "video games," so the Warstar are just the bosses of the first dungeon. We're in the second dungeon, so now there are different bosses in addition to the recurring villain who will be either the penultimate or ultimate boss. I would bet penultimate because Japanese RPGs always do that sorta crap.

(The reason I think it's "video games" is that everything about the Gosei Angels that seems like a weird depiction of angels is completely ripped off from Dragon Quest IX. DQIX is so hugely popular in Japan that I think Goseiger's creators may have simply assumed an audience that would immediately associate "benevolent angel" and "uses cards" and "modular equipment" with, well, video games.)

Warstar was nothing more but a threat against Earth. However Yumaju have a histroy with the Goseigers, due to the original ones sealed them away.
Don't forget that Warstar is the reason that the Goseigers can't maintain contact with Gosei World, because they destroyed the passage to Heaven Tower.

WOw, they got rid of the Warstars already? What was their point then?

And episode 17 being GoseiKnight's premier is no surprise, as that is usually the sixth ranger's premier episode.

His debut arc was full of badassery. Go and watch.

This.

Plus we know there are more Warstar coming.

Not to mention that at the same time they killed a Goseiger as well. It was because of Bladerun that they knew about the Gosei Angels from the very beginning.

I have been saying that since we have had pictures of the Warstar, with the whole insect based alien invaders being an illusion to early arcade shooters. As for the Yuumajuu they are either referencing early RPGs or more likely dungeon crawlers/hack and slash games (think Gauntlet) since honestly I think it is actually "arcade games" instead of just "video games".

The problem with saying the theme is "arcade games" is that the writing thus far is RPG-like, but RPGs were never really an arcade genre. At best you had action-RPG hybrids like Wonder Boy in Monster World. Gauntlet isn't an RPG at all, for all that it uses D&D-like trappings.

Well there are the likes of The Tower of Druaga. Also although I am not that up date with arcade units anymore I believe that several companies have been trying out online arcade RPGs for the last few years even some that use a card gimmick (though I may be confusing that with Sega's Sangokushi Taisen). Plus I see it as the villains represent the older style of arcade games and the Goseigers with their Dice-O based powers will always triumph due them being the future of arcade gaming. Honestly though it is all rather nebulous and cryptic so without an word otherwise we may just be looking to hard at the whole thing.
