Yeah, they never seem to care about the destruction of the city until, like, the final episode- meanwhile, the half the city is destroyed weekly & no one even gives a damn. You know, for once, I'd like to see people actually running away to a differant city or being pissed because Gosei Great crushed a poor family's apartment- stuff like that! It always feels more heroic when you incorporate the populace into the correct scenes!
Also, I can't imagine that everyone is able to get out of the way when the monster grows giant & they summon the mecha- It'd actually be interesting to see people freaking out while trying to get out from under the Mecha fight & they dispatch one of the Rangers to help em out.
I seriously think Japan has a really skewed idea of what the function of Angels actually are. Angels only help out those who are open to it & usually take the role of messangers, not warriors. When they do, however, it's only because their master commanded it & they will not deviate from who they are to kill- at all costs. It seems the Japanese took this "at all costs" thing the wrong way because, without an actual decree of war, the Goseiger do seem to get distracted a lot, don't they?
