Teen Falls Down Open Manhole While Texting

No offense, but I hate thinking like this. "What if that 0.0001% of people in this world had came across this open manhole? What then? Oh the horror!"

Yes, it's true, this was very negligent on their end, but at the same time, people have to watch out for themselves at the end of the day. I hate how this country is so obsessed with safe guarding every freakin' aspect of life. And also when something bad happens, there's always the pointless bickering about what could have been done to prevent something (i.e. Columbine shooting, increased security in schools across the nation, attacks of Sept. 11th, incredibly unnecessary airline security procedures.) I now that this pales in comparison to those examples, but it's gonna be followed by that same bullshit arguing and accusations and greed for money. All this is doing is making people more scared to just live their freakin' lives.

My older sister's boyfriend went to a public high school that even though they had metal detectors and such, the weapons were still easy to sneak in. Anyways, the whole thing about overprotecting people is bullshit if you ask me because sooner or later ,the exact event or events that the children or the population, if you rather were protected from will eventually happen and when it happens , people will run and panic like a chicken with it's head cut off, and that's where an authority exploits that to try to take rights from law abiding citizens.

There are a few things you just can't prevent. You could try to weed the idiots out of the gene pool through killing them ,but since that's unethical and wrong, make them miserable until they straighten up, lose rights that they abused like if they murdered with a gun (guns are only for protection if you don't know martial arts) . That's a great punishment.

Here's some food for thought: keep in mind that there is the 10th Amendment , which in general states that rights not listed in the Bill Of Rights that are not granted to the national government nor prohibited to the states are reserved to the states or the people. , so basically there could be a right to kill or a right to rebel since it possibly could be protected by the last Amendment.

What a :nono: I feel so sorry for her.

It was partly her fault for texting and not paying attention to where she was walkingin the first place,so she should ,atleast , and for the sewer line workers who left the sewer hole uncovered to be fined for endangering another person's life with his careless actions and for them to pay for the girl's hospital fees that resulted from their carelessness.

My last post was before I read it. I feel like an idiot.

The article said the workers had left to go get traffic cones to place around the man hole. Are we so inattentive as a society that we need a dude to stand infront of a giant hole in the ground for three minutes?
