6) I like to collect old computers, like Commodore and whatnot. It's kind of a side hobby I picked up over the years, and I just like tinkering with them.
7) I aspire to be an independent filmmaker one day; preferably in science fiction. I've wanted it for as long as I can remember, but I think discovering toku is what finally accelerated the effort. My dad's always been a bit of a movie junkie, and has been bringing home one or more movies every Friday night now for many years, so I've had access to a pretty big collection (though most of it I haven't seen). I've always gone for the sci-fi flicks, and I've always liked the "making of" tidbits in the special features with all the special effects and creature design and whatnot; that's always kind of geeked me. I also cannot see myself doing any kind of desk job; such overly formal work environments tend to drive me insane! :shakefist
8) I'm a bit of a conspiracy theorist, and tend to be mistrusting of the government (not very uncommon in this country), but I'm by no means a nutjob in that respect.
9) Any joke I've ever tried to make around others has always ended up being misinterpreted and thrown back in my face, either because they took it as an insult or they found something about it worth making fun of me for. I've since stopped trying to be humorous around others. I try really hard to get along with people, but it always ends up backfiring and leaving me in a depressed state. *sigh*
I've always been meaning to try some form of martial arts, but have just never brought myself to give it a shot. Too many problems with every other group or sport I've ever tried to join has discouraged me from trying anything new (Practically didn't exist to my T-ball team back in 2nd grade; at a swim class I almost drowned and got screamed at by the lifeguard for being a shitty swimmer many years back; an anime club I tried once was an abject failure and was run by someone who apparently didn't even give a **** about it and quite literally ran it like a kindergarten classroom; and I was nearly thrown out of my high school's performing arts group because of this conspiracy against me by a good number of people there that hated me for some odd reason)
Yeah, I have crappy luck... :disappoin
