Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut

Specifics for the release of the real Superman II movie directed by Roichard Donner, with all of his footage removed from the Lester cut restored with a few enhanced digital effects

83% - Is the magic number. The 1977 Donner footage equals 75% [Dick shot approximately 65% and 10% was shot by other units]. The remaining % is material from the first picture [The Reprise, which is several minutes], new material and the screen test.

The XK101 missile. The Nuclear Missile shatters the phantom zone. Original footage of the XK101 used, probably with CGi enhancements.

Eiffel Tower. Cut out.

Lester Humour. Reduced or completely cut out.

Blank Bullets. Lois Lane shoots a blank bullet thus reveals Superman! Donner never shot this, the two screen tests have been cut together and will be used with a disclaimer.

Lois forcing Clark to reveal he's Superman at gunpoint with a gun carrying blanks

Marlon Brando. In 3 pivitol scenes; Lex Luthor in the Fortress; Clark and Lois watch home movies (rumoured) and Clark loses powers; [hide]Jor-El's suicide[/hide]. New special effects.

The Villains rampage. No villains take over the world. Villains new powers probably cut out.

Bodydouble. He's used for 'over the shoulder and distant' Superman shots. Rumour has it that this material might be used for the Tower of Pisa, Superman lands in Metropolis in the beginning and maybe some Donner 'Metropolis battle' material.

Newly shot footage. To complete and bridge the 1977 scenes. Includes new exterior Daily Planet material.

Music. John Williams STM score and some Ken Thorne material.

Special Effects. Over 90 of them including credits, I guess.

Ending. [hide]Superman turns back the world.[/hide]

Nothing better than making fans have to recut the movie to our own liking AGAIN

Meh, I never had a problem with the Super-Kiss, I'd just throw that back in

I have the restored international cut of Superman II. It includes a bunch of scenes not included in the original. Cool stuff.

Yeah, I have the international cuts of three Superman movies, including the alternate variation of Superman III with the far superior opening credits in space.

Here's the poster of Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut. It's possibly that the picture will be on DVD cover.
