Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut - Talk Up!

Great little DVD experiment that I like more than the Richard Lester version. That said it feels like an incomplete movie. But the tone was different in the Donner Cut, the focus went back to Superman in his cut and it showed as this cut of the movie really ties in the father and son relationship. The whole meaning of Superman one and two (and to an extent Superman Returns) is re-inforced through the Donner Cut. Somewhere between both Lester and Donner movies is a great film (leaning more towards Donner).

Critics are just people to, Hell Ebert said Raimi didn't "get" Spider-Man in the first movie. Yeah, make up your own mind based on what your own eyes have seen. :thumbs:

I bought it and watched it. I did like it better than the other cut, but I didn't find it really changed the movie much. It certanly didn't present a whole new experance of Superman II like the box said it would.

And no matter WHAT movie it's in, I'll ALWAYS not agree w/ the whole Superman turning back time plot device. That's just a cheap cop-out.

i bought this film as soon as it was released on Tuesday. i loved this movie. i have to give it a few more viewings but from what i saw, i loved it. the Clark/Lois scene in the beginning was really sweet and i liked how Clark uses his running speed since he hardly uses it in the films. the Jor El/Clark scenes was awesome as well. really shows the father and son relationship that they have.

In other words, the International Cut that has only been aired a few times and is available on torrent files if you ask the right people
