Super Sentai and Curry

Curry seems to be big in Japan in general - it doesn't just pop up in Sentai, but it's the specialty of the Pore Pore cafe in Kuuga.

I think Change Griffon wanted to open a curry Tonkatsu Shop, not sure if he got to do that by the end of the series though

He mentioned tonkatsu, but nothing about curry.

Did anyone notice that curry has been a common theme in the Super Sentai series since day one? It seems that in several titles, there has been at least one reference to curry:

* Himitsu Sentai Goranger - Daita eats at least four bowls of curry rice.
* Taiyo Sentai Sun Vulcan - One of Snack Safari's specialties is curry rice.
* Choujuu Sentai Liveman - Megumi-chan has a curry dish while Yusuke and Joe wait for their beef stew in episode 4.
* Bakuryuu Sentai Abaranger - The Dino House's specialty is curry. This is carried on throughout the series and Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger vs. Abaranger.
* Samurai Sentai Shinkenger - In episode 36, Kotoha-chan asks Genta to make her a curry dish; this causes him to temporarily sell curry alongside his sushi business.
* Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger - In episode 1, the Gokaigers have lunch at Snack Safari (a reference to Sun Vulcan). In the third ending sequence, Captain Marvelous is eating a bowl of Dino House's curry rice (a reference to Abaranger).

Hell, even the Super Sentai Series has their own brand of curry (alongside the Anpanman, Kamen Rider, Pokemon and PreCure series). :laugh:

You forgot to mentioned that there's another curry scene in Hurricanger (From which episode, IDK) where Nanami (HurricaneBlue) tries to add with some candies in the curry pot & spilled mistakenly added with vegetables (who got knocked over with Yousuke aka Hurricanered) together.

Have you been to Curry House in Little Tokyo? Back when I was still living in L.A., my usual order was beef or chicken curry (extra hot) over spaghetti.

I go there every Saturday with my family and I don't have to wait in line cause my dad got the connection with the head people there thanks to working in JFC International Inc. which sells rice to Curry House
