Super Megaforce - Do the 'pre-zyu' powers kill it for anyone?

What killed Super Megaforce for me wasn't the new powers thing.

I can get over the cheesy one liners and crappy acting, but it's the lazy jarring editing that just makes the whole show unwatchable.

It's the general laziness and poor prioritization that bother me the most.

So much new footage was shot using the Goseiger suits for no reason, but they really can't edit out 30 seconds of "new powers"?

Even Dragon Knight prioritized its footage better than this.

Which is why they could've easily used 13 Riders, Ryuki vs Agito and Decade ep6-7 if they wanted to.

I had no problem with it. Did they explain why the White Ranger was a completely different suit compared to the Zyu Rangers suits? No.

What would be the point of explaining two teams of Rangers we never saw before? People would scream "Plotholes!!". It's stupid to even complain about something so small. We heard the Maskman suits were called "Blitz". That's good enough. God knows how everyone would react if they said the Dairangers weren't related to MMPR White. This was a good nod to the adult fans that always wondered if Saban or Disney would ever use the Dairangers, Flashman and Maskman footage. They give us a subtle nod and that's all.

Besides, the idiot behind this mess was FIRED for his creative incompetence along with most of his staff. What else can be done about it?

Um Alpha and Billy did say that they were creating a suit for a new ranger so you would have expected it to be different which is somewhat explained there.

It was, actually. White Ranger was a newly created upgrade to the Green power ranger. It didn't matter if he looked different or had a different style, the existence of this power was explained and given proper set up. A three part episode series aired just to reveal it.

Well if they didn't show the non-PR suits in the first place, it wouldn't be a 'plothole' problem. That's the point. They should have spent just 2 fucking minutes during editing to show that they give a ****.

So we've got a nameless, new Green ranger power showing up in Power of Six. That's great.

At least the Dairanger suits got a brief introduction, though it was incredibly poor but now we're just getting all kinds of nameless suits.

I've said it before but just a few minutes would be enough to explain this away. You can say it's "rangers of the past, before Mighty Morphin" or "a glitch in the morphing grid that's creating new powers because of the overload the Super Megaforce rangers are causing."
