If SHT Z really only did 233,504,650 Yen for the first weekend, it's pretty bad. It's only a little above half of Super Hero Taisen's first weekend(¥410,038,450 for the first weekend), and less than both Fourze's solo movie (Â¥ 254,172,750 ) and Movie Wars Ultimatum (Â¥282,422,820). Also less than Let's Go Kamen Riders' first weekend (¥ 294,945,750).
It's still safely above the Super Sentai Vs movies though, so it shouldn't be a "bomb", but it looks like we might be looking at a fairly low number compared to other Rider movies. The first weekend by itself can be misleading though.
Of course, like I said in a previous post, it's kind of odd that they basically only focused on the current Rider series here (and according to some reports there's a part of the movie without any Wizard too?), considering how Kamen Rider is the only real box office mover among the three franchises in this movie... I mean, Gavan bombed and Sentai never pulled numbers compared to Rider, yet we get two Space Sheriffs with big roles here apparently as well as two characters from different Sentai seasons (GokaiSilver and Yellow Buster) with big roles throughout the movie, but only the Wizard cast before the final battle? It's just kind of odd. It'll be interesting to see how this movie will turn out in the end and also how the upcoming Wizard solo movie will perform though.
Edit: Also, unrelated to the above, but... Hiromu's actor did Decade's voice and GokaiSilver did Meteor...? Decade is supposed to have one line, right? These are possibly the first official Heisei recastings outside of net movies and games then (as in, I don't mean they'll return in those roles, just that the replacement voice actors are actually credited officially for them and speak at least one line - unlike many previous ones who just had uncredited grunts or W and Accel in the first SHT, who ended up with their scene cut). I wonder if he'll just sound like Hiromu?
