Super Hero Taisen Z

So who wants to bet that Wizard and the Kyoryugers are going to get shafted in the same vein that Fourze and the Go-Busters were in the last crossover movie?
They weren't so much shafted as much as the actors weren't available. They're already filming an episode per week of a TV show, plus whatever films, net movies, promos, and other assorted extras they have to fit in around that. It doesn't leave much time to film a crossover movie in too. I think it was mentioned in another thread that the Kamen Rider OOO cast had complained about the amount they had to do for 'Let's Go Kamen Riders' on top of their existing workload.

Will we get much of the Kyoryugers? Probably not (or at least not out of suit). They'll still be in the first quarter of their own show so they will want the actors to concentrate on that. I wouldn't count on Wizard being in it too much either. Asuming the shows have a similar lead time between filming and airing to the film, the Wizard cast will be filming the third quarter episodes where the ultimate forms debut (and so it will be an important one for toy sales), so they won't have much free time for another project.
On the other hand, I haven't heard that the actor playing Gavan-G is doing anything else, the Go-Busters cast will have finished but probably haven't had time to find new work yet, the guys who play Fourze and Meteor will similarly have just finished their Toei Next film but probably not found more work (assuming that the Toei Next film roles weren't themselves a carrot to get them to stay on and be in this), and (judging by the lack of leaked info thus far) Gokai Silver's actor likely won't have started filming Garo S3 yet. So I suspect they'll get more to do just because they are able to be on set for longer.

It's not as much as Fourze and the Go-Busters were shafted. They just didn't really have any place in the movie setting at all.

The first Super Hero Wars was a conflict between the major anniversary series and the big enemy groups in both. I'm pretty sure they only got screentime because they were already recording their weekly show.

Yonemura is the writer. Let's see if he's gonna be a fuckhead again and say it's still too early to reveal what Narutaki is doing.

Although, Junya said on his blog that this one is way better. Especially story wise.

The same 2 guys are back producing and directing this movie respectively.........his name will soon follow next. It's inevitable, and I'll be shocked if Shirakura decides to use "an actual writer" that writes a story for once

I SO TOTALLY CALLED IT

Toei probably signed them up for Taisen Z before they'd finished filming for the show.

Seeing how only Yoko is listed in the main cast, it seems like the others will either have a very, very minor role or not even show up at all, though..

I must say i like the choice to focus on three individual members of the last three Sentai teams, although Yoko as the Go-Busters' representative strikes me as an odd choice. It's probably to have a girl "just there", like Hina in the first one.

For what's worth though, the Toei site for Super Hero Taisen 1, equivalent to that one page for Z, only lists Tsukasa, Marvelous, Naomi and Owner. Tsukasa and Marvelous obviously had big roles, but it's completely missing Kaitou, Hina, Joe and Don. On the other hand, Owner's and Naomi's roles were really small but they're listed there over quite a few people who had more screentime and presence in the movie.

The Kyoryugers probably could have a transformation scene just like Go-Busters in the previous movie. The Go-Busters cast currently filming for the V-Cinema, and maybe Red and Blue will be in the fourth Toei Hero Next.

So far with SHT Z, they seem to have an idea where they heading. While I enjoyed the first one, it felt that they threw everything in it so it would sort itself out.

I could be wrong but I recall seeing that one too many months prior to the first movie release. On the other hand Z´s cast list sounds pretty definite and detailed, as i heard the filiming wrapped already. It matches the magazines pictures, too.
