On the contrary -- I do believe that what we see there is what Venom will look like. Since Venom's look was the same when he merged with Brock, just bigger and with the mouth.

The reason why that's not the original Venom design is because the symbiote took over Peter while he was int he spiderman suit which is basicalyl why him in symbiot looks like a Black spiderman. I predict the Venom design we'll be shown in theatres will look more like what he did in the comics... not a Black spiderman.

Looks like Harry and The Sandman will be the ones to watch in this movie as far as a storyline goes, and how Peter copes with the new Goblin, because everything else looks like it was taken from the animated series as well as the comics (with Eddie being a photographer for the Bugle and being at the tower the night Pete disposes of it, then again the animated version is the most definitive version of the character)

Edit: forgot to mention. Hate the symbiote spidey suit. I prefer the simple, plain black with a white crest. But! For the sake of the story, it makes sense. So I approve it.
