Sorry, actually what I meant is that Japanese won't show they care to your face, but might laugh at you behind your back. The difference is they don't care enough for it to have serious social repercussions, as is the case amongst Japanese ... since you're already considered an 'outsider', they can't put you 'outside' their inner circle since you're already outside.Shougo Kuroiwa said:Hey! And yeah, it is true that often when one is connected to toku/anime, you're likely to be branded an otaku whether it's true or not ... I agree that this is a form a generalisation that shouldn't exist, but since it does exist, I prefer to be careful and avoid any problems.
