So what is it that do you guys like about Faiz?

I recently read some posts about which heisei rider is best. Faiz seem to come highly recommended, so I went ahead and checked it out.

But after I finished watching 555, I wonder what is it that people like about this show... Granted I liked some of the comedy. I also liked how on the Orphnoc side it's not just bad guys /good guys. Takumi himself is also interesting in that he's like a showa rider; he's the same as the monsters that he's fighting.

Someone mentioned that faiz have good fighting scenes. For me it didnt make sense that when using a belt that is not really part of their body, they can already use it perfectly right from the start. The belt's boxes have instructions but no one seem to bother reading it in the show.

The king of Orpnoch wasnt much of a show either. Was it really necessary for him to appear in the show? I think that part just destroys balance of the story.

As for the story, I thought it was interesting until the middle. But in the end alot of things just wasn't explained. Why did president Murakami and lucky clover lose humanity and decide to fight with humans? Are they just crazy monsters? Why had Takumi been fighting for human when knowing that he is Orphnoc? What made Kusaka such an as**ole? He was bullied during childhood but nothing else was explained. I think there should be some explanation for these characters, and the show seem to spend too much time on Kiba.

It's too bad... I rally like the concept but the show have big problems.

Everybody's into different things, different taste, etc.

I'll say, Kamen Rider 555 is my favorite toku show. I liked the characters the best, I liked the tone the best, the fights, the story, the Kamen Rider suit, music, everything really.

Not really gonna sell you on it obviously. You mention it has good comedy, and it does, but its also one of the most serious Kamen Rider shows in recent years. It had a less campy feel to the monster of the week compared to a lot of recent shows, for one thing.

Just great stuff.

He is by far my favorite character in toku EVER. Sad thing is, I remember his name, but I can't remember Faiz's user's name.

Also Lost Paradise is my favorite KR movie, second only to A to Z.

I liked that it was a show about mental instability. Takumi forced himself to forget his other side, kusaka had the memories of dying intermixed with his new hybrid persona, kiba lost everything but had a conscious and stayed human despite the animal side of himself. The directors entire story was about helping out his new race while not hating or objectifying humanity which he eventually couldn't maintain as his race started dying. The orphenoch king was representative of perfect and paradise that all the characters wanted but couldn't reach with there both there conscious and humanity intact. The king actually made it so orphenochs couldn't maintain human forms when he cured them going back to the theme of whether or not the end justfaiz the mean.

I loved 555, the characters (since I appreciate extreme characterizations), the hissatsus, the gadgets, the orphenochs. I liked the story, it was so depressing that I actually appreciated it.

Anyway, i like Faiz ... but i agree its depressing but whatever, i love Inui Takumi (yes, both the actor playing him and one of our board members here ) but i find his hatred for hot things abit weird

The way it was all set up, the hype of the coming of the King of Orphenoch and how he will save every single living Orphenoch on earth...well, that really didn't live up to half of it's hype.

I thought the beginning and end were interesting, the middle felt boring. Lucky Clover didn't had much of an impact beside being yet another tool for Smart Brain. I think the time spent on Kiba was good, none were really wasted, albeit it kinda make the show more fitting to be called Kamen Rider Kiba.

My biggest beef with this series is that it has so much potential to be really good, but then it end up not being able to deliver whatever that it has promised. Frustrates me all the time, and the characters all seem to have poor communication skills for the sake of more fight scenes.

I can see why some would like it though, especially after I rewatched Paradise Lost. The sci-fi element, Takumi's a nice Heisei main rider. Sure he's antagonistic and anti-dramatic, but Takumi's Takumi, no Eiji Godai Fail Redux(Sorry, I do see Eiji from OOO that way.).

He has a cat tongue right? I think that justifaiz why he hate hot things. I think it was explained in one of the early episodes. This is like one of the most toleratable gag Kamen Rider characters have.
