If you ask him about what he hates about Decade, then you will find they are 100% identical what he hates about Kabuto

I found that a lot of people were interested in Hibiki because the Hibiki world in Decade was great. I liked that couple of episodes myself, but Hibiki is still at the buttom of my list.

The Hibiki episodes were one of the few times where the fake version improved upon the real show. (Except for the three Ongeki schools fighting each other, that was dumb.)

It's not the worst. It's the worst of those three. Kabuto is still better than Decade.

Why is Kabuto in the worst? Terrible characterizations and a plot that made no sense at all. Kabuto starts off by heaping a ton of mysteries upon the audience, but ends up resolving not even half of them. Some things in future episodes even contradict things that happened in past episodes. It became an unwitting bad parody of Heisei Rider yet still thought itself as this great epic.

Now we wait for NeonZ to come waltzing in with a speech about how wrong I am and how Kabuto is actually a great show...

I liked Kabuto a lot, maybe as much as i liked Ryuki. The characters were great, the fighting scenes had awesome effects and the rider suits were stunning. of course there are some things i didnt like, such as sasword's masked form (ugly, ugly, ugly) kamen rider drake (worst rider ever), and the overuse of the hyper form... but i enjoyed the series a lot, i even stood up late at night just to keep watching it LOL.

well, i cant say i hate one rider series, i love them all

You mean useless characters that had no connection to the plot and were probably just there because Toei and Bandai have a merchandise quota to fill?

That's nice (and I agree), but it doesn't really mean anything in the end. You can have the biggest budget and best choreography and special effects, but if the actual plot and characters are weak, it's all for naught.

The only thing I hated about that was how it lacked shoulder armor with the Sasword ZECT logo. The other Riders had their personal logos on their Masked Forms. Why not this one?

In one sentence, it's Den-O done right.

I like that we now have a fresh batch of writers for Rider. Kobayashi, Inoue, and the rest still have good ideas, but as their most recent shows seem to prove, they're either past their prime or don't really care anymore. So now we have W, which isn't so mystery-focused and follows a more case-by-case basis like Den-O. But unlike Den-O, Sanjo knows there is still a plot and has been steadily advancing it as time goes by. So at the moment W is pretty nice. I'm not rushing to watch the newest episode every week like I was in the past, but it's still good enough.

The one thing I really hate is how the Gaia Memories can talk. It's so redundant to press the button to yell out "Cyclone, Joker, etc.", only for the belt to repeat it again. Stuff like this is part of the reason why shows shouldn't become too merchandise-focused. You see the Kuuga and Agito henshins and how relatively simple they are. Non-elaborate belts, all you do is a cool pose. Those henshins look a lot cooler and less silly than some of the later stuff where you have to press a ton of buttons and insert this thing into that before you can transform.

I personally think the Gaia Memories announcer is awesome, as is the concept of Gaia Memories in general. Flash drives have become ingrained into popular culture, and it's cool to see them used in such a unique way. As for the merchandising in the series, as a Transformers-fan, I usually take it in toku the way I do in TF: the series was made to sell toys.

The only thing that I'm really annoyed by in W, and which Den-O (as far as I've seen) does a FAR better job of, is competant female protagonists. Akiko, for lack of a better term and fully aware of the irony, needs to man-the-eff-up. I like the little bit with her at the end of episode 10, but she's been getting in the way more than actually properly investigating. By comparison, I absolutely LOVE how Hana is handled in Den-O. I hope we get more characterization for Akiko in Begin's Night.

That is a demeaning thing to say. I really hate this whole "kids' show/toy commercial" argument people use to defend anything that goes on in a toku. For one thing, it labels all kids as stupid drones who don't care about anything in the show but the shiny toys. And it also demeans the people who put such an effort into making a good product by saying what they do is just for people who can barely read and write. Do you consider the Marvel and DC heroes as just kiddy stuff with the sole purpose of selling merchandise? If not, why do you differentiate? You can't really compare tokus to TF since TF was indeed a simple toyline at first that grew into something bigger. The origins of toku heroes aren't all that different from those of the Western superheroes.

And might I add that all media are out to sell something. So to say toku exists soley to push out merchandise is a moot point.

How were the Den-O females better? Hana is just a one-trick pony who far outlasts her welcome with her constant slap-the-Imajin-and-try-to-look-tough-doing it schtick. It gets even worse when she shrinks to kid size. And Naomi and Airi? Those brainless idiots who makes drugged coffee and smile 24/7 as though theyres on happy pills are an example of competent females to you? I'm not that fond of Akiko myself, but come on, you can't seriously say the Den-O girls were any better.
