So I finally finished Kabuto

In other words, it wasn't "flashy" enough for you.

Maybe. I'll admit I'm still new to the KR world. I did watch every New Gen KR series within a span of 3 months (when I started watching Kabuto and the others, Decade was already airing). I think I just need to re-watch Kuuga and Agito to appreciate them better.

Okay here are my thoughts on Kabuto... Here goes:

Kamen Rider Kabuto started out with a lot of promise, the whole Cast Off/Clock Up sequences were cool and unique, the henshin equipments were cool, the characters were for the most part interesting the plot was interesting, the action scenes were breath taking and I liked how a secondary character like Kazama/Drake got his own arc that was heart breaking. It looked as if it could've been the best Hesei Rider show.

However, it all just fell apart for me, I felt the writers just got lost somewhere when writing the second half of the show that sort of hurt its entertainment value for me, and that Black Knife arc should've been used in the early part of the show or could've been saved for better use in Den-O. Although I thought it ended on a good note the damage was already done.

So, in conclusion what could've been one of the better Hesei KR shows turns into an above average Rider show at best, to be honest I would rather watch Den-O, Hibiki, Blade and Faiz over Kabuto although it was still better than Decade though, I give it a 3.5 out of 5.

Agito's overrated, Kuuga, though, is definitely one of the best shows out there.

Agito's overrated,

I agree with what you said above except for any comments that are even remotely connected to Den-O.

Like I said, I feel like in the final fourth of the series, the writers were just like, "****.... we got too many episodes to do here" and really lost their way. But by the end they got back on track to what they were doing in the first place and ended it with a great finish.
