I really enjoyed it. The show's always been more of a romance show than an action superhero show, and they focused on that which is fine. Clark put on the suit and flew, and the epilogue kicked all kinds of ass. That's enough for me.

Did he really put on the suit? We never got a full shot of him in the suit, just some shots from the back of the head and the cape blowing in his face. IMO, that entire fight scene with the suit was just disappointing, and i'm pretty sure they just took the footage from "Superman Returns" when he is looking down on the world. And they never called him Superman...10 years and they never called him Superman :shakefist

I really enjoyed it. The whole point of the 10 and final series was that Clark had to take up the mantel that would become Superman. Was the ending rushed and kind of "cheapened out" by the fact that it looked like Clark pretty much pushed Apolyokipse (sp) out of the way? Yeah...but that wasn't the point of the season or the series really.

I think people had got it into their heads that we were finally going to see Clark put on the suit and see Superman battle and save the world for 2hrs. Smallville was not about that. Smallville was about Clark Kent BECOMING Superman. Which is what they did. The showed him closing one chapter of his life and the very very small tip of the iceberg opening chapter of the next chapter in his life.

Was it perfect? No...would I have done things differently? Probably...did I enjoy the HELL out of the final season? OH **** YEAH I did.

Interesting ending for Tess... But considering she's a goodly portion of the reason I stopped watching the show in season 8, I wasn't too broken up about her.

I was disappointed that Tess died in the end, but her character served it's purpose and completed it's arch.

So, they just ignored the Legion of Doom and all the other heroes round the world then? What was the point of the episode before then?

I smirked when Luthorcorp sign broke and it spelt out Lexcorp.
