Reminds me a lot of Independence Day, War Of The Worlds, and Cloverfield.

Not really sure about this. I like the effect wherein people's faces change when looking at the light. But not impressed with the alien walkers (I keep getting flashbacks to the Scarabs in Halo 2 and 3). Maybe it's because I've seen a lot of Alien Invasion movies/read the books, and very few of them really impress me anymore, visually or conceptually.

I wish someone would take a totally unique approach to this Sci-Fi subtype (Alien Invasion in modern times). Skyline might be it, it has some elements I find interesting based on the trailer, but I'm not holding up much hope for it at the moment.

Ship designs are awesome too IMHO, kinda like what I would expect if humans were able to travel deep into space, using scrap metal and all.

@wavehawk: Me thinks a great approach to a movie about Alien Invasion will be Half-life 2 (Combine Army). :buttrock:

Sing beans in a fruit basket! This looks awesome! :O_O:

BTW, is it bad that the poster and trailer made me think of Transformers?
