I just realized there's no thread for this episode for some reason, or else I couldn't find one. It doesn't seem people are very enthused about this show.
Nin 11:
- They're really treating this "Kinji attempts to kill everyone" so lightly it's almost shocking. Sure, they're ninjas and they can easily fight him off, but still, this is a serious matter. What is wrong with these people??
- Aw, Fuuka has a stuffed toy. And Kasumi wears a nightdress rather than pajamas or shorts? How quaint. :anime:
Then again, I must ask what the heck is that blue thing Yakumo is carrying.
- See, even Fuuka sees how stupid this all is!
- What a great edit there from Taka wanting water to Kyumon holding a kettle. Truly on par with of Lawrence of Arabia. >.>
- "No contusion"? Why put a comment about no bruising on the back of a ninja book?
- Since Sasuke/NinjaRed appeared in this show, I wish one time a Gashadokuro that's summoned is actually Gasha Skull/Junior from Kakuranger. That would be fun.
In fact, Ninninger should lift more of Kakuranger's "fun" because thus far, outside of the family stuff, there really isn't much to say about this show to impress.
- Does Dragomaru ever land? Can it fight on the ground?
Actually, why not get Paonmaru or UFOMaru to fight? These mechas have robot forms and they're being completely wasted.
- So Shinobimaru is scared that he's been forgotten... what?? He was just summoned to fight a monster. How is that being forgotten? And it's not like the others have really been hogging that much spotlight. This is dumb. Actually no, it just feels like it belongs in another show. Or maybe another episode of this show where it could be devoted to this plot, instead of crammed into something unrelated.
Then again still, perhaps this is a subtle comment on how oversaturated with merchandise (and specifically, dumb merchandise) Toei shows have become.
- Is it just me, or does almost every Sentai now have a "sixth-hero-doesn't-get-along-with-a-non Red" episode? This one doesn't even feel like there's energy put into it.
- You know, a small bit of Kinji kind of reminds me of my character Kenta from Hell Rider. There's enough about Kinji's character, such as his "idealism" about what a ninja should be, that might make me like him more if it weren't for his other dumb quirks and mood swings.
- They actually made that dumb dance a bit better. Perhaps the explanation of it helped. Plus the lack of music made it a bit funnier.
I'd still rather the end credits was ninja action, though.
- More mecha fights like this, please.
