Shout! Factory Obtains Saban License- Power Rangers Seasons on DVD!

So we're at a standstill. People won't buy VR Troopers/Beetleborgs unless a full season and/or bonus features are released. Shout will only release small barebones volumes because they're not sure if they'll sell. Someone will have to take a hit/risk. How do we fix this?

Reason one is Netflix. People just think it's fine to watch it there, but what happens when they leave Netflix? Crappy encodes? DVDs are yours forever.

Shout should give fans one more chance. Do a one shot Shout select complete season releases of both. Get it done and pound it out.

Yeah really. It's just one more volume for each show. It's not like, say, King of the Hill, which had 13 seasons and only the first six made it to DVD.

Oh, shut the **** up you self-entitled fan boy. Shout! Factory does not "owe" this fandom anything. These DVD's are not something they put together in their spare time, this is their job and they do it to feed their families. Simply, these DVD's were not selling, they have every right to drop the show, so stop begging, it's embarrassing

FYI, I bought the DVD's and am disappointed like you, but Shout did their best and we need to live with what we got

Yeah, I did not expect Shout to actually finish the shows since they did not even bother to finish Conan the Adventurer. It is sad, but if this was the Shout of 4 years ago, they would have finished it regardless.

Did they not sell? Oh man, that really doesn't bode well for any property not named Power Rangers.

Although it's not a Saban property, Superhuman Samurai Syber Squad's second and final volume on DVD was reported to have been scheduled for release next month on the first. We're on the third of September, and there isn't even an Amazon listing for it. I try to have a positive attitude about things and not pull a Chicken Little over some minor thing, but I'm beginning to get concerned about that one too.

I think I'm just glad that we'll be able to get up to Megaforce on DVD in some fashion. I'll be buying the next mega sets from Shout! Factory and maybe even the legacy set, but I hope for the sake of others that they'll get the seasons they want on DVD without the mega sets and legacy set being the only way to do so. Also, I'll try not to take the seasons 13-17 mega set for granted, even though there does seem to be some hope for that to see the light of day.

I think I'm a little concerned about Megaforce volumes from Lionsgate though. The first volume for Megaforce was released today, and it doesn't seem to be sold in any stores. Not Best Buy, or even Target, although I plan to check Wal-Mart some time this week. You might find copies at Barnes & Noble stores, but they tend to suck you dry as far as DVDs and Blu-rays go. Even with discounts, the prices still aren't so impressive.

Sooooo just found out that the legacy DVD set is going to be 650$ :disappoin

It would be nice if it could have been $150 less, but at least it's not $1000 like some people were speculating.

Anyway, shipping will be free for US residents in the lower 48 states. Whether or not you pay sales tax though depends on the state in which you live. Hopefully my state will be tax free as far as this goes. Pre-orders will start on September 10th.

The information is mentioned in this video.

I was expecting $300-$400. $650 is just too much money for it for me.

I have a feeling that it will either sell out immediately or so few people will buy it we'll get a price drop in six months. It's going to be one extreme or the other.
