Living in the Choushinkai are also creatures known as the Magi. The Magi also exists in the Human World, but can only be seen by people with strong spiritual sense. The Magi has been known as a type of evil spirit since ancient times and secretly protecting the humans from these evil spirits are the Hikaribito. Kai Hitomi, an ordinary high school student who is both hardworking and a Plain Jane, is able to view the Magi’s appearance and has affected her daily life, causing her to despise this power.

One day, the convoy general of the Hikaribito, Gou was transporting the captured Kageribito on his tortoise shell ship Punba when he met with a tremendous attack by the Magi, causing it to crash. That is when he realized he was in the Human World. Although Gou received a message that a mysterious army of a thousand soldiers will attack the Human World from Choushinkai’s peak, Shinkaiou, he couldn’t get any supporting help. Gou decided to protect the Human World on his own. Although it seems like suicide, he shouted with confidence.

“We have chances of winning!”

Gou then proceed to gather up the Kageribito, who has successfully escaped due to the crash, and recruit them as his Hikaribito Army to protect the Human World. That is when Hitomi spotted his appearance. Gou, Hitomi and the Earth’s fate started in motion when the two met.

A typical "dragged-into-an-unwanted-situation" character in the series. She's an ordinary high school student who is also quite a Plain Jane, though you can't really say she's the cheerful type. A huge fan of rakugo.

However, her ability to see the Hikaribito and Magi causes problems in her daily life such as making friends, which makes her despise this ability. She lives and works part-time at her grandmother's recycling shop. She also shows talent in cooking and "nukatzuke" (salted rice-bran paste for pickling??) is her specialty.

Adding some more info:
- Other than Inoue, there's also Keita Amemiya (creator of Garo series), this could be the reason why he's not involved with Garo Season 3.
- It will be a "love comedy battle action hero" series.

Shinkawa Yua is the lead heroine, that's already enough of a reason for me to watch. screw that Pink Buster role now!

Since the main characters are a guy in suit and a girl, also the "love comedy battle action hero," makes me think this is basically "Astro Fighter Sunred" with Garo suit.

This looks... so... frikkin... dopefly. Looove Keita Amemiya, people always think of him just as the guy who did Garo, but Tekkouki Mikazuki and Zeiram were really great too, though I haven't seen any of his other work. I personally think the most recent season of Garo has been rather lackluster because of his absence. Very, very excited to see where this goes.

I don't like the design of the suit, but maybe it will look better in motion.
