Pretty much all old villains in the Yonemura movies are interchangeable cardboard cutouts. Shadowmoon as the leader of Shocker? General Shadow playing nice with other villains and running away from heroes when the villains start losing? It's kind of funny that sometimes they have better characterization when they have less screentime.

I still think these two V-Cinemas were way better than Kikaider Reboot. that movie was just... yeah. even combining all of the Rider movies that they've come up with in the past few years, be it SHT or Kamen Rider Taisen or whatever, the Uchuu Keiji movies have more quality and paid respect to its franchise.

I certainly don't understand why you guys can't stand Sakamoto's ideas and directing in these two V-Cinemas, when he pretty much did the same in Kyoryuger?? Tammy is obviously a clone of Amy (though a much more tolerable character IMO) and Shu's shirt getting ripped off for no reason was exactly copied from the part where Daigo did the same etc.

yeah, I admit the "you guys" part wasn't exactly an appropriate phrase but I think it's pretty funny that people are complaining about Sakamoto's directing yet I've hardly seen any complains about it during Kyoryuger's air time.

Pretty sure there were plenty of people in various places who did exactly that during Kyoryuger's air time, or have since realized to despise his directing

Maybe not so much on here, but there were definitely people who did object to Sakamoto's style during Kyoryuger. I do wonder what's going on though? Were parts of this written to emulate stuff that viewers had liked about Kyoryuger, or did Kyoryuger incorporate stuff that Sakamoto requested/wanted? (Did we ever find out whether it's true that Yayoi only became KyoryuViolet because he asked for it?)

I wasn't convinced about it really until I saw Sakamoto's non-toku movies. But it's definitely Sakamoto's style.

I wonder how much of it is on Sakamoto, though. Clearly the writer must have had some hand in it. I mean, Sakamoto portrayed cute lovey-dovey rage monster, and I can't imagine cute lovey-dovey rage monster wasn't what the writer intended.
