Yes...if you're THAT ashamed to be an American & think the country is that much of a joke, by all means move. Move to another country that doesn't have the same freedoms as you do. Freedoms that you've taken for granted every day of your life. Move to a country where you don't have ample opportunity to do what you want in life. Move to a country where you can't say your political views in a public forum.
But you and I both know that you have no intention of moving out of the US because of who is in office, or if for some insane reason this happens.
Obama has little to nothing to do with this case. He didn't make this part of the copyright law up. The part of the copyright law that is up for interpretation has been on the books since 1908. Before Obama or anyone in Congress for that matter was born. It's not even the lawmakers that are trying to make it "illegal" to sell something you own, it's some corporations using legal loopholes so they can make more money. It's up to the Supreme Court to decide on the issue and make a ruling.
Now I guess it's easier to do nothing and sit on your ass and state anonymously on the internet about the situation and be all up in arms...making decrees that the current government is a joke and how you are ashamed & want to leave the country, than actually doing something about it.
Don't like the policy? Fucking DO something about it. Write your Congressman, get your friends to write their Congressman. Bring the issue to the attention to the people via social media...without the personal governmental commentary and melodrama of wanting to move.
well, im not fond of obama, and im not fond of the republicans either....but they are yes and no the reason why i left the us and moved to japan where there is a new prime minister every fucking year and nothing changes....
ill truthfully admit i left america because as a japanese and east asian studies major, there is really nothing i could do for employment back home but what better place for me than japan? but i do miss my home country a whole lot, but at this point, i see myself staying in japan for a very long time and it is not because of obama, romney, or these stupid ass copyright laws (japan is anal about that **** too). but despite natural disasters, im glad i live in one of the most safest countries in the world. american aint perfect, and neither is japan.
but back on topic. once a person buys something, they have the right to do whatever they want with it and whatever happens they should be responsible.
if apple wants to be that way with their products, maybe they should be accountable for whoever films a child porn video with their products. or maybe if someone robs a bank and runs off in a ford escalade, maybe ford should be responsible and own up to it. if i shoot some stupid ass with a remington rifle, then remington should be responsible for it. maybe the clothing line that made trayvon martins hood should be responsible as well. if i beat up some punk ass on the street while wearing a jesus didnt tap shirt and mma trunks, then jason frank should be the one responsible. based on what apple wants to do, this is the way i see it.
yes, companies make things for the consumer, but once someone buys something, they should be the one responsible. once they leave the factory, it should no longer be theirs. i want governments and companies to let ME be responsible for what i buy with my own money and what i fucking do with it.
