Save Aquaman TV series!

What's this about it being passed over for Seveth Heaven?

And while I don't approve of that, I thought the idea of an Aquaman TV series was met with a united, "Bwaahahhahaahaha!!!" by geeks everywhere.

I would've given Aquaman a try. It doesn't look like something I would've kept watching though. Don't get me wrong, I love super hero movies and don't have the critical eye that a lot of fans do (since I never read the comics >_<), but the trailer thing just didn't make me go "daaamn, I have to see that." I'd really like another tv series to watch though, as of right now I'll have nothing once House finishes up.

Aquaman is an underrated character, I laughed at this for other reasons, it would'nt have helped the character's profile. From a guy who talks to fish to a teen who fights mostly on land (as was the show's premise for later episodes, gaining his power from water for a limited period of time), yeah, that interests me in the king of Atlantis when he's up on shore for fourty minutes.

Yes. But only because some geeks have that stupid idea of Aquaman's just that guy that talks to fish, and the true comic book fans were laughing 'cause they knew it would suck, no matter how good a character Aquaman is.

The Aquaman page that the CW had ready for the site had it listed as airing Wednesdays at 9. One Tree Hill's spot.

It was the only pilot on any network that interested me, so I'm rather bummed it didn't make the cut.

At least I still have my Veronica Mars.

You know...noone who liked the pilot footage still has'nt given any reasons for liking it, it's practically Dawson's Creek meets Round The Twist. It's the popcorn effect presumbly, you're not supposed to think whilst watching it, somerthing superheroes in modern comics (and even in the old Adam West days with their in-jokes galore) are supposed to do. I have a sad feeling Superman Returns's true appeal is going to be lost on these people

But sadly, it was removed by CW. :nono: :170: That pissed me off entirely.

I wonder how CW would feel about Aquaman Fans?
