Samurai Sentai Shinkenger rumor/picture thread

o.oa I'm not sure if they'll just change him to White or not. The sketch that was posted earlier was more of a preliminary thing anyway. The red suit is probably the final.

If White is really coming out though, I think their decision might be that if they went with White, it might overpower the Red in Takeru's costume which would defeat the purpose of him being differentiated from White.

I assume you're talking about that all white Shinkenger. So far we've heard nothing about that. It was probably a sketch that was discarded. Also there were two Decade sketches that we've heard nothing about either.

Anyways,Takeru gets the red jacket due to Kyoryu origami on Shinken Maru

Now since Kyoryu origami won't permanently be on the show, ShinkenRed uses another type of device to become ShinkenRed for the show

Maybe for one or two episode he will use Kyoryu Super ShinkenRed & KyoryuOrigami. Like Other sentai before such GekiRin Tohja in Gekiranger & Engine Dai Shogun in Go-Onger.

Possibly being discarded is why I said if.

Although, looking at the toys for Gold, it seems less likely that if we get a 7th that it won't be Silver since his Genta's belt is silver already. Plus when I was talking over with Miaka earlier, she pointed out that a Gold/Silver combo repeated would be redundant.

Like I mentioned in the other thread though, for all we know, if they make a 7th, they could throw in a wild card to just confuse everyone and make him ShinkenPeriwinkle.

Other than that, I didn't bother looking much into Kyoryu, future toys, or the movie, so thanks for clarifying.

Oh well you see, that's the problem.

We all have our yearly "Can't wait for 6th hype" right? Right. For me though, when I knew someone else was coming after Gold. I was ready to fanwank. So i didn't drench all my hype on Gold, because I knew there was one more coming. now that I know that it's probably a rumour, I'm fuckin pissed. That means I didn't get the full enjoyment out of Gold's debut, because I was holding back.

Now this makes me a little disappointed, because he's not much of a 6th. He's like 18 going on 10. And his suit is basically the same as the others.

But with that maybe theres still hope for White.

This might sound confusing, but that's how I feel.

Um, a proper sixth SHOULD look like the others. If the other guy doesn't even look like he should be a member of the team, why is he even in that sentai? The first sixth rangers were identicle to the others except for minor things... and that's how it should be. Sentai is about teamwork, not about how impressive and shiny the new guy is

What about him is that much unlike the others?

Besides that, if the writers and design staff stuck to the same thing every year for what a "proper 6th" should be, then the series would get way too formulaic and it'd get boring. Making something different from normal every now and then helps to keep it fun and enjoyable.

Other than that, while Gold might be impressive and Shiny, it's not like he doesn't bring something to the team or the story. He's a power outside the "norm" of samurai in the story and in a sense represents how people became samurai during Sengoku Jidai. 18 alone though is probably one of the first chances he's gotten to really cooperate with the others so I don't really know how you can accuse him of not being a part of the team either. He's barely had a chance to really work with the core 5 and he represents a "normal person" outside of the Kuroko dynamic. The upcoming episodes are going to be showing more of that, so I think you might be jumping the gun a little too early.

Gold does have a lot of flash and humor to him, but he has a genuine desire to want to be a part of the team and as a part of the story element, this'll show some interesting conflict with Ryuu since he's very by the book and by tradition and lineage. Despite all that he *wants* to do to help Takeru though, it's only been one episode and one Gedoushuu where he's been able to really do much about it. 17 was an intro where he kind of came out of nowhere and he was more "separate", but 18 is where he officially joins and while he's worked with Takeru in 18, they also have a background history together so it's more natural. The upcoming eps we get to see his relationship develop with everyone else. After that, pass your judgment on whether or not he's all flash.

Your right, I can't argue there. I'm just used to a little more in the difference area. I guess my dream of a shield won't come true this year. :(

Wow, when was the last time we had a Senshi with a shield...? It was a loong time ago, huh. I wonder if the concept people don't think shields are "in" anymore. :disappoin

I hope not. you can never mess with the shield. When you have a Shield it means "**** with me...and see what happens".

For Ex: DragonRanger. He took a **** on the Zyurangers, when he arose. lol

I'll fast forward to one most recent AbareKiller. The name speaks for itself.

To name a few like DragonRanger,Timefire, Gao Silver, and Dekabreak they all had a similar designed suit that corresponded to the core five rangers.

You could say they were the true 6th member. Atlhough lets not count out Magishine or BoukenSilver.

A good case would be Dekabreak arriving after Dekamaster. Tetsu was the 7th to arrive but had a similar suit and participated with the Dekarangers alot.
