Mars' generals, the Four Heavenly Kings: Romulus, Vulcanus, Bacchus, and Diana.

During a magazine interview one of Omega's producer spoke about the series' future, saying that the story will momentarily shift focus to the original fight Mars' backstory and his original fight against Seiya and the Bronze Saints.

This fits with a suppose Tweet from one of the series' writers saying that Mars' backstory would be explore for 2 to 3 episodes around ep45.

Man, those Mars generals look pretty awesome. It'll be a shame if the series ends around episode 50 and these guys were barely around.

(though rumors of that new Digimon series replacing it would totally make me okay with it)

The V-Jump magazine teased that a major announcement, the last part of Digimon's 15th anniversary, will be announced in its next issue - which comes out on February 21st or around there. There's never been announcement for an announcement in Digimon's history and so people naturally seem to think it's going to be the next Digimon anime. Omega should be just a little over 52 episodes by April so it's very likely that if another series is going to replace it, it will be around then.

So basically it would be announced around the just a bit later in than Omega was (early Feb).

Saint Seiya is my favorite series, so nothing replacing it could make it ok... That said, if it were replaced by a Digimon series that follows a more traditional route, except of whatever Xros Wars was, it would hurt a bit less.

That would make sense, although yeah, end of February sounds kinda late for announcing a new series that would debut a little more than one month later.
Anyway, Toei animation does seem to be working on a tight schedule lately...
