I find myself looking at Ishinomori-san like when I look at Quentin Tarantino or Robert Rodriguez, I find myself using ideas and things he used to tell stories and make interesting characters.
But when I look at Tsuburaya-san it's more like looking at Leonardo Da Vinci. I can appreciate his work but I can't take his techniques and utilize them in my creative process because everyone else has already done it themselves.
So it comes down to me just looking at them as Artists, not icons.
They're not gods, just men. Great men, but men nonetheless.

What? There is nobody that can argue Tsuburaya & Ishinomori are indeed Tokusatsu ICONS.
btw, the intention of this thread was to stamp that Saburo Hatte bullshit OUT because anyone who knows Sentai knows that it was our boy Shotaro and not some made up group of **** nuts who decided to stamp their names on an existing franchise.
These are the same fuckers who attempted to pretend Goranger & JAKQ never existed aswell. I **** on that Turboranger anniversary special episode, I **** on it with a passion.

So...let's see,the intention was to let people know who is the real creator of blah blah...actually do you know fans cared now?
Do you actually think kids aged 3-10 watching tokusatsu will give a **** onto who is the creator and who is the fake creator or whatsoever?
It's just a show aimed towards kids.If you are trying to let veteran toku fans know their facts.Then just put it in a book or wiki page.No point starting a thread and ending up with people fighting on who is the real creator.No one cares actually.
No matter who is the real creator,kids and most fans don't give a **** to it.They give attention to whatever they are shown.
Toku IS like this,just watch,don't ask questions.
I bet more than 80% of those watching toku,don't give a note to the credits in the openings or endings.Even if they flashed a giant message saying,"In memory to the real creator,Shotaro Ishinomori.", do you think anyone will care?
They will just go,"Just air my toku and let me enjoy.I ain't going to care who is the real creator or what.I don't have a need to know."
It's like you broke international laws if you don't know who is the real creator.
