Went out for the night, came back, and still managed to pre-order Ryuki off HLJ. Brilliant, beats camping on amiami.

All three new Figuarts are up on HLJ. Gotta search for SH Figure Arts to get them to show up. No Gatack reissue yet.

Diamond Previews (which distributes to all comic shops) had a few SH figures back in the day, mostly Ryuki stuff, but they actually sold for less than the equivalent Japanese prices (comic shops of course were free to mark up as necessary). They actually came out with a bunch of stuff, including SOCs and such, but I don't think they were consistently ordered and were thus subject to delays and severe reallocations. This was also back when you could walk into any US toystore and see a bunch of MSIAs...

I remember that! That's actually how I first got into Kamen Rider. I had heard of the show but never actually seen any of it at the time. DLs and streaming weren't what they are today and the only way to get tokusatsu was via tape-trading. At $4 a tape, this broke college kid was sticking with sentai.

But then I saw those Souchaku Henshin Kamen Riders being solicited in Previews. Thought they looked cool and ordered some. Ouja & Gai were my first two. My LCS only charged $9.99 a piece for them. Fell in love with the designs and collected as many as I could get. Ended up most of my SH Ryuki, Blade & Hibiki figures as well as the Space Sheriffs all came from my LCS. All for $10 a pop.
