Wow! They managed to not constrict his articulation with those open Jimba pieces. Color me impressed. I was expecting them not to care and let it limit his motion like other ones with armor around the waist.

It's like this freaking Ledouch I bought. They never even bothered doing anyone else from Code Geass so now I have this figure that does not go with anyone else. I might as well just get rid of him at this point.

You could try displaying him with all the other Figuarts Zeroes. There's Code Geass Zero, Garo Zero, Kakugo no Susume Zero, and Mega Man X Zero. Probably Mega Man Zero Zero in the future too.

I don't have any of those. Plus, if I had any MM Figuarts, they would be on a MM shelf. Garo stuff would be on a non-Rider/Sentai Toku shelf. No idea what Kakugo no Susume is.

These figures are made for the Japanese market. If it didn't sell over there then they won't bother finishing the line. DBZ figuarts sell better in the US because DBZ action figure collecting is more popular in the US then it is in Japan. A lot of popular anime series like Yu Yu Hakusho and Inuyasha may not get figuarts because they feel like that they won't sell well.

On another note, the Shinkocchou Figuarts (Hibiki and Kabuto), now have their own "Line Up" section on the Tamashii Web Site rather than being included with regular Figuarts. I wonder how often they're going to plan on making these figures and if they're going to include more than just Kamen Riders?

My guess is, this is going to be like Gunpla with the RG/MG/HG lines

Mark 42 helmet definitely looks better and more round than the fall faced Mark 6

I wish it wasn't sitting so we'd get more angles from it. Can't wait for the studio photos to show up

Wow...definitely a big improvement over the last Iron Man. The last one had weird proportions and the head sculpt was off.

I'm reasonably confident that we'll at least see the ToQGers released and probably the current teams for the foreseeable future.. but where are the rest of the Kyoryugers, or the remaining Dairanger, Jetman, Boukenger, Dekaranger characters, etc. The fact there's absolutely nothing on display makes it pretty clear that they have no plans to finish them anytime soon. And if not now, when there's no other Sentai releases coming at all, then when? It makes no sense for Sentai to be the one franchise they decide not to show at this event when they have literally everything else they own on display.

This is frustrating in part because they'd just started to figure out at least some of the problems with selling them, like how daunting it was to acquire the female Sentai due to "expensive web exclusive" element.

I'm wondering if people collecting Sentai have developed something of a once-bitten-twice-shy attitude toward buying the Figuarts. If I were a fan of Boukenger, for instance, I'd be pretty irritated. Red Hawk and Black Condor look to be the last foreseeable Jetman releases. Had it not been for the SDCC metallic five-pack, most of the Shinkengers, having been web exclusives, were out of the price range of many collectors. I keep peeking at Gokai Yellow and Pink, and I just can't justify to myself the price tag.

Then again, my perspective is that of a collector in the U.S. who's a relative newbie to tokusatsu. I haven't considered picking up the Boukenger or Dekaranger releases because I wasn't collecting imports when they were released, and I haven't gotten to those series yet. I assume I'm an outlier.

I'm glad to know I'm not the only person lamenting Bandai's recent lack of apparent interest in producing any more Sentai.

(I'm almost relieved that they've been choosing movie or bleh video game versions of superheroes. The moment they do a comic-based design of a Marvel or DC property, I'm sunk. Ditto should they ever consider Gatchaman, although I doubt it, since I heard the recent movie didn't fare well, and Gatchaman Crowds almost no resemblance to the classic series.)
