Ryuki-Decade: Dork Age?

I think T.Inoue really want to make an attempt to change the theme & concept of the series each year but there are some series which can be better but poorly it doesn't.. such as Den-O & Hibiki . And I think Kamen Rider Ryuki, Faiz, Blade, Kabuto & Kiva is not that bad compared to... De-De-Decade! Yeah, I truly agree that Decade was a complete mess-over. Too much plot holes, unexplained stuffs, and weird storylines.. I think Decade will be A LOT better if he get more episodes and not to rush for the deep plot such as in 'The Great Rider War World' where first, it was a world where the AU Riders fight each other to save their world, and then it turned to be a world where all those 9 heisei riders fight Decade and then this crap continued to Movie War 2010 where it changes to 'Parallel World'.. Ahh... I hope Kamen Rider W bring a new wind of Kamen Rider series to us.

I have watched a few episodes of Kuuga and Agito. It has the same feeling as the Showa riders.

I like 555/Faiz,Blade,Kabuto (but not the the last few episodes) and Kiva...

I think what makes Kuuga, Agito, and now Double so well-liked is that they have a plan and they stick to it. They know exactly where they're going from start to finish. The shows in between, with a few exceptions, don't have that feeling.

In Kabuto and Den-O (as much as I love Den-O), it just seems like the writers had absolutely no clue where the series was going to go, what would be revealed, how it would be resolved. It's like they were wingin' it! But Double has a very cohesive story that has been building up well, just like Agito and (I assume, I haven't actually seen it) Kuuga.

What I really like about Double was that it kept you guessing, even if you already had everything figured out, the writers knew how to throw a wrench in there.

Ever since Double became huge with toku fans, and as Double has progressed, I've noticed more and more people looking down on all the seasons that aired between Agito and Double. What are your thoughts about this recently happening?

I actually really like Faiz. Even more than double. Mainly because of how strong the Orphnochs were. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

That's a strange statement, considering W is essentially the Den-O style redone by a competent writing team.

You may say that, but I never saw a problem with the writing of Den-O(I thoroughly enjoyed the story), and Den-O still has the best actions scenes I've ever seen in a rider series, and when it comes to me and KR, action is top priority. I also still like Den-O better because of its endearing main heroes who I felt for and watched as they progressed. The series' comedy was a bonus to me, and unlike some other series, I was equally interested in both of the riders, as well as the rest of the cast. It's for all these reasons that I still love Den-O to this very day

I don't really see all that many similarities to W besides how it uses comedy to good effect

but isn't it cool seeing peple fight and kill each other?other than good vs evil series? almost all tv series is good vs evil, aren't you guys tired of it?good always win?

The problem is that so many of the series where "good guys" fight each other fall flat because either A.) Nobody TALKS to each other (Taiga and Wataru in Kiva, for example) or B.) One of the "good guys" is actually completely unlikable and despicable, despite the writer trying to prove otherwise, and so it's no different from watching the protagonist fight a pure evil monster, except the rest of the good guys in the series like him for no discernible reason, creating unnecessary tension among the protagonists (Kusaka in Faiz, for example).

Call me old fashioned, but I like to have my heroes be, you know, heroes. I want to see them stand up for what's right and get things done instead of fight amongst themselves and be broody. It's part of what made Hibiki so damn good: everybody worked together! The Oni and their supporters really all felt like a family, as well as a competent and effective organization, and it helped move the series along and make it enjoyable. Faiz was just PAINFUL to watch by the end, and not in the way the writer intended. Yuji's character made a complete 180, despite the fact that he's seen both humans and orphinocs do terrible things throughout the series, and then makes another 180 at the end for NO GODDAMN REASON. The whole thing is capped off by trying to portray Kusaka as a hero at the end, despite the fact that he was completely unlikable and a far worse monster than many of the orphinocs. And these issues persist throughout most of Inoue's post-Agito work. He also tries to make Kiriya seem like the more worthy disciple than Asumu, despite the fact that he doesn't do anything to deserve it. All of the soap-opera-ish drama in Kiva that could be rather easily avoided by people actually talking to each other also really grates on me.
