Ryukendo question..

So i started to watch ryukendo recently and i started to wonder about something, why the hell are they always saying raijin at the end of their names? it doesnt make any sense and i already watched half of it . Any explination?

Raijin does mean Thunder God...but I always took it as "sanjou," or something to that effect.

Doesn't Raijin come from Raiden which is Lightning?
