Bolt, did you like Kevin Costner's Robin?

I liked it. I'm not sure how I feel about Russell Crowe in this though. I'll give it a chance however.

No Robin Hood movie will ever top The Adventures of Robin Hood, and no actor will ever top Errol Flynn's Robin.

Bolt, did you like Kevin Costner's Robin?

I actually liked it a lot. Part of it is because of nostalgic value, as that was one of those movies that I wore out the VHS of when I was a kid. But I think it had a lot going for it as a film and the people that spend all their time dissing Costner's lack of accent are missing out on a lot of the great elements. It was made before the era of the "dark/realistic expose" or the shitty "update" trends we have going on now, but it did manage to instill some gravity and maturity to the lighthearted classic tales. Some really great performances in that film too. The only things really missing from it were some of the keystone characters (Prince John, the Black Knight, the real Guy of Gisborne, the evil Bishop, a lot of the Merry Men, etc.) and more violence. The Robin Hood stories were really very violent!

And yeah, the animated Disney Robin Hood was amazing. One of my favorite Disney movies of all time.
