RPM, Episode 29... Something Special Happens.

[jwk94]

Am I the only one who desperately wanted the password to be Zordon?

[Shirubaa]

Haha, that would have done it!

[nerefir]

I kinda wanted Fat Austin St. John or Bitter AJ Johnson to show up :disappoin

[Quark]

Ziggy accidentally teleports him and Dr. K into the cave David Yost has been hiding in for all these years! The Rangers need to find out the password to Dr. K's system in order to get them out of Yost's cave. Their failed attempts trigger a behind the scenes video that Yost uploaded should they fail to destroy Venjix. The Rangers watch in horror as Jason David Frank gives Yost the finger offscreen.

[Forever Knight]

Keith I officially damn you to heck.

I second this. Even though I knew it wasn't going to be, it was the mere thought of the password being Zordon that made me hope.

[jwk94]

yeah, im greatly dissapointed that they didn't mention any of the other rangers (other than overdrive red's helmet being ina scene), the least they could have done was confirm that they were all dead.

[Undrave]

the idea that all those great heroes of the past failed to VENJIX, a villain who's plots can be unravelled by mere Pop Culture knowledge would have been appaling.

RPM isnt for you. It's for the kids.

For the audience that it was REALLY aimed at, kids, they would have had a "surprise" by having something confirmed to them, aka K's feelings towards Ziggy. Something "special" happened that was relevant to the season and to the younger audience.

PR isnt for the fans, it's for the kids. It will never be for the fans. Fans PRETEND it's for them all the time (occasionaly being given seasons like Dinothunder as a gesture for their loyalty), but the kids are the real audience. Kids who might not have a frickin' clue who the other Rangers are and don't want to be pestered with information on people they can go back and learn more of through the MMPR reruns or "Legacy of Power"
