Robocop: The Series

Forever Knight

Eye See You
Filmed in Toronto Canada and I just stumbled upon this. My God how could I have missed this?.

I remembered a few Robocop movies besides the trilogy which involved my fav Forever Knight actor Geriant Wynn Davies but I never fathomed there was a fucking series.

They even managed to keep the Robocop instrumental jingle theme which is epic. I hope ED 209 appears.

I re-discovered this show last year when I was in the mood for some nostalgia. :buttrock:

Very awesome show indeed...

I like watching shows that are filmed in Toronto... I get to say "oh wait... isn't that ______" and "oh i know that place!"

BTW, speaking of shows filmed in Toronto... have you seen Flashpoint? I think it's another great show.

Isn't Flashpoint that show with Amy Jo Johnson in it?

yeah the Robocop serie was awesome! I liked it a lot when I was younger...are there DVDs of that out??

I've heard about this series before, but never watched an episode. Maybe, just clips of it posted online.

Someone uploaded most of the Robocop episodes over at RangerBoard a while back. Don't know if the DD links are still active though.

Flashphoint, eh?

Never heard of it. I'm most familiar with Forever Knight, Mutant-X etc...

It's a police/cop/sniper drama... really good show, IMO. I normally don't care much about Canadian shows but this one is really good.

I watched it when someone did uploads for the show over at RangerBoard... downloaded one episode and really liked the show's suspense and format so I kept watching. Each episode is a different case that the SRU (kind of like a SWAT team) handles.

There was one episode that was filmed right across the street from one of my local toy shops too.

Isn't Flashpoint that show with Amy Jo Johnson in it?

Yeah, it is. Though she -- well, her character -- gets shot by a "villain of the week" in one episode (that feels like a season finale) and disappears for a good chunk of the second season... though she has returned now (as of last week's episode) after recovering from the incident.

I have this series on dvd :)

I could never get into it though, due to there being hardly any violence compared to the original films
