The sad part of my "Kim Nana" syndrome is that one of my friends that got our "entire clique of friends" to watch City Hunter with her............her nickname is actually Nana :laugh:

Yep, she brought that upon herself to plaque all of us with that syndrome.........she is forever known as "Kim Nana" or "Bear Nana" whenever we all hangout together

Very well then, any suggestions for something with drama, but also comedy, and a little badassness mixed in?

My favorite kind of character is the over the top, almost comedic tough guy who shows up from out of the blue to difuse a situation with his macho, or sage like wisdom. Too few good characters like that...who arn't the Doctor, a Kamen Rider, Jean Luke Pecard. I would include any character played by William Shatner as well...but ya get my point by now.

A female character that fits this notion would also be amazing...just amazing.

Banchos are bad ass, and Sukebans turn me on...I worry about myself...

How about Kurosagi? I haven't seen it in forever, but I remember really enjoying it.

I've only ever seen one Kdrama though, it was called Fight Club. Basically like the movie without all the crazy **** in it. I.....mostly watched it for the awesome martial arts. Doesn't have the greatest or deepest story though, but it was still a fun watch for me.

The list I posed up earlier on what I was planning on doing a vlog series about should be a good start actually.

I'm super partial to action based Dramas with some light heartedness. "Mr. Brain" in particular is a personal favorite. The main character completely reminds me of The Doctor's personality with the way he tries to solves the mystery of the day. It's actually quite brilliant.

It's called SP and aside from the series, there are 2 movies and an SP of SP (redudant both in name and in story. Seriously, you don't have to watch the SP of this because its one large clip show.)

Check, check, and check! I'll put those on my list to watch and see if I can review them with Blade. Can you get them from Daddicts? or is there a dedicated fansubber for them?

You know, the only KDrama I've ever watched was Dream High. I'm actually really, REALLY tenative (I probably spelled that wrong) about getting into KDramas just because I simply cannot stand melodramatic storylines and acting.

1997 is pretty nostalgic for the first 12ish/16 eps, then ends into a character development story. I highly recommend it. Trust me, I think you'll like it. And luckily it doesnt fall into the overdramatic stuff in usual kdramas. You'll be good.

Man, I just rewatched all the fight scenes from Lucky Seven for the vlog Blade and I are doing. The fight choreography is sooooo good *_* I think I want to go through all of Eita's filmography now~ I'm so charmed by his eccentric acting.
