^Right?! I love X-MEN. This series was the the truth, and now they just took it down. With stuff like this, I wonder how the VA cast feels or the producers, illustrators, directors..everybody.



Honestly. I've seen his origins and Venom arcs a bajillion times.

I can take or leave Wolverine and X-Men. Spectacular Spider-Man, however...that show is REALLY good. Seeing it canceled makes me sad. One more season. Just one more.

I'd say the same criticism applies to them really.

Nah, Batman's done substantially different each time. Here...its Peter was attending high-school...and now he's attending high-school. He was getting used to his powers...now he's getting used to his powers.

The first season will play out so similarly...

And the makers of Wolverine and the X-Men are making an Avengers series.


I'm guessing in a couple years they'll probably do a fourth X-Men series, hopefully combining the new generation (from Academy X to New X-Men to Legacy) with the old. Joe Q kind of shot himself in the foot by halting mutant births though, they try to milk the franchise all they can but without new characters eventually they're going to run out of fresh material.

A couple years? Ultimate Spider-Man is coming in 2011. I'm almost willing to guarantee we'll hear X-Men Academy or X-Men: First Class within a few months for Spring 2012.

A shame, WATXM was ten times better written and more respectful to continuity than the 616 comics...oh, and any show that kills Emma Frost off at the end is undeniable proof of the Kingdom of Heaven.

..It also had the misfortune of ending on a cliffhanger...not the most unpredicable of cliffhangers, but a shame that with a good 65-episode package close to half-done, they didnt see fit to go with the second half.

Frankly I can see both of these are just due to Disney wanting to get their newest assets under their production. Which is still a shame since I enjoyed both. Although not unforeseeable seeing how Disney is still known for their animated output and they want the Marvel properties to be the vanguard for their emergence into the young male demographic. My only hope is that they don't model the new X-Men series after Ultimate X-Men which to me is garbage.

But you know what? Spectacular Spider-Man was ALREADY ON DISNEY XD. To can that when the channel is already airing a bunch of regular Disney Channel BS featuring a lot of pretty boys (and they wonder why primarily girls watch their regular channel), simply does not seem like the wisest direction.

Getting rid of X-Men? Sure. That had a HUGE Nicktoons premiere, and a significant following after that.

Equally puzzling is Marvel green-lighting a SECOND season of Armored Adventures. Apart from "teen" Tony being a terrible idea, its not exactly doing poorly at NT either. Plus there's a Iron Man movie coming out, which can only increase the series' popularity.

So why is that show being renewed? There's an answer somewhere.

Best I can figure is that solo Iron Man is going to phased out as soon as the Avengers movie hits, so taking out Armored Adventures for a retooled Iron Man is pointless. While Spectacular was on Disney XD it wasn't a Disney production so there were no doubt issues of control involved from the previous Sony deal. And X-Men is always going to be a big property so getting to work on that as soon as possible is a major concern.
