Riders with or without weapons?

My thing is, they really need to have Riders with a balance. You can get a guy with no weapons and a guy with an assload of weapons, instead of all Riders getting Sentai sidearms

For me, I prefer a combination of no weapons and with weapons.

The without weapon for me, depends more on the fighting style, rather than just clobbering them, which doesn't appeal to me.

As for the weapons ones, it gets awfully "annoying" when they aren't "good" without their weapon or with, and still don't know how to "fight well".

Not to mention, the excessive "power-ups", which don't even get used that often, that makes it "questionable" why should it end up getting used or debuted at all.

I don't really care what weapons riders end up using, as long as they know how to fight well and use the weapons when they do have it.

I think Decade fits that balance pretty well. He has a weapon, but only uses it like, half of the time.

The Masked Riders work best without weapons. Part of the charm is that the Masked Riders were judo/karate experts. They have very rarely used weapons, and were tough and strong, just using their hands and feet.

Riderman was understandable. Since he was a regular human (his cybernetic arm could transform into various weapons), he HAD to fight Destron kaijin armed, as his awesome Riderman suit doesn't make him super-strong. He was the more (marginally) realistic of the Riders.

Masked Rider X just had a golf club. Amazon's Henshin Belt has a rope with which he can swing around. Super-1 had a nifty robot glove with buttons. And Black did use one weapon from time to time (the Satansaber).

I thought Black RX overdid the weapons thing. That's kinda' where it jumped the shark for me.

Black's usage of the Satansaber was only in his finale episode, though. Unless you meant it being used by Shadow Moon, whose been holding on to it in most fights.

The 2 Hopper Riders from Kamen Rider the 1st (Ichigo and Nigo) didn't use any weapons to beat the Kaijins.
