Rewatching Kamen Rider Faiz

Faiz is the best Heisei Rider Series, PERIOD.

Kuuga would disagree with you and if he is pissed off enough, blow you up in a huge and ridiculous explosion.


Although to be fair, I started watching Faiz a few months back but dropped it after 3 of the first episodes and a few at the end. I will probably try re-watching after I finish up Blade and Agito.

Faiz was one of those Rider Series that wasn't all black & white, especially the Orphnochs. Since it showed that they're still humans, despite what they become.

When Kiba became the new Kaixa, to me that was an improvement. Since there was a lot of us who wanted to see Kusaka get his ass kicked.

I didn't care for Faiz, the plot was just crap it would go nowhere at times. The characters were also very stupid. And that villain group that were in the bar they were a joke.

What I wanted is for the characters, mainly Mari and Takumi to grow a few more brain cells and a spine much earlier in the series and stop just putting up with his bullshit.

This is one era where Paradise Lost has the series beat. They dust him quick. Even though it's not Takumi who gets to do it, he at least gets pwned by a better villain.

I think Takumi did have Kusaka figured out right from the beginning. That's why while Mari and Keitaro were naively showering him with praise, Takumi remained aloof. This I'd say is the reason Kusaka greew to hate him so, long before he found out he was an Orphenoch: by not kissing his feet Takumi was out of his power. And Kusaka is obsessed with both power and Mari. It would have been better had we had learned more about Takumi himself to coincide with the introduction of Kusaka. He's supposed to be this streetwise drifter: maybe a life on the run allowed him to figure people out better than someone like Mari or Keitaro could.

I'm pretty sure it started when Kusucka outclassed Takumi in all of those sports, then it only got worse...
