"Zone of the Enders" was a video game released for the PlayStation 2 in 2001 made by a fellow named Hideo Kojima ; arguably the first giant Mecha game to offer smooth, artistic combat remarkably similar to an actual anime fight.
ON its own the game probably would've vanished into obscurity but Mr. Kojima, in addition to possessing a metric shitton of story ideas also knew a thing or two about marketing and decided to package Z.O.E. with another sample of his work: a preview of the second installment in the obscenely popular and absurdly overrated "Metal Gear Solid." As a result Zone of Enders became a bestseller, even earning a sequel two years later which remains my favorite PS2 game ever.
The highly stylized Mecha from the Zone of Enders series (referred to in-universe as "Orbital Frames") have been admired and desired by fans ever since the initial release, but aside from a few hard-resin kits this series sadly had no merchandise representation.
Until Revoltech stepped in. Kaiyodo's legendary action figure series has stepped in to finally give the Zone of Enders franchise some overdue respect.

This is Jehuty, the primary Orbital Frame in Zone of the Enders and the craft used by the main protagonists throughout both games (mostly). Revoltech has chosen to use the vibrant blue & bronze colorscheme from the first game for this release; arguably to make Jehuty more "presentable."
Articulation is phenominal, taking full advantage of the Revoltech joint system. POSING is a somewhat different story however; Jehuty's structure is designed for aerial combat and almost never touches the ground in-game. As a result the miniscule "ballerina-toe" legs can have difficulty supporting the weight of this figure. Thankfully a stand is included to lessen this problem.
Noticeably absent are the various sub-weapons Jehuty uses throughout each game, but I can forgive this lack of detail. Jehuty does still possess its main offensive weapons, an arm-mounted sword and laser cannon. Perhaps the most surprising accessory included is the Ring Radar, a proximity-sensor used in-game to detect and target enemies closest to the player. The Radar can be attached to the stand in order to fully capture Jehuty's in-game appearance.
I've been waiting a decade for this figure and it was definitely worth it. Revoltech Jehuty is beautiful and every self-respecting ZOE fan should at least TRY to own this toy.
