Which remake movies did you think were on the same level or even surpassed the originals?.

I still say that Friday the 13th remake from 2009 was still untouchable when it came to a remake that is on par with the original. Jason was a mean badass mother fucker. I still say the kill at the start where he hangs the girl in the sleeping bag and puts her over the fire is right on par with the original Jason putting the camper in the sleeping bag and throwing her against the tree several times (the unedited version has him doing it about 8 times, the theatrical release only showed once *
