Ah, dude. You don't need a girlfriend to go to prom. I know lots of people who went alone and still had a good time.
Oh, and you don't look for the girlfriend: if you be yourself, the girlfriend will find you.

I went to prom with one of my best friends who had a huge crush on me. But I didn't know about that last part until just before the dance. Made things a bit awkward, but we still had fun. Didn't dance much, but they had blackjack tables out in the lobby where we spent most of the night. No real money was involved, of course, but if there had been, I would have ended the night several thousand dollars up. 
My only complaint was that the bass was turned up so high, all the songs sounded the same and we missed the one slow dance song we were going to dance to. But it's all good.

This thread is about Prom stories, and I told my story. You needlessly questioned my prom night. That wasn't necessary at all. You made it sound as though you were belittling me! And whether it was your intention or not, I don't appreciate it.
What was your prom experience? you could've told us that. You couldah delve into that and stick to the subject. Instead you went and criticized my prom night! That's not cool dude!

My prom is that I was more concerned with real life issues. Should I go to college right away, should I get a job instead for a while, or should I take care of my then sick grandparents. IMO going to a dance and having fun is a good thing. Getting totally wasted drunk, acting like idiots, and doing stupid crap isn't my idea of a good time.
So no, I did not go to prom. I did drive some friends home from the Hospital after they rammed their car into a light pole. They had gotten wasted after they left the prom. Broke one of his arms, girl with him had a black eye, people in the back seat had minor cuts from the glass that hit them. Do I think getting wasted like that is stupid.. You're damn right I do. Do I look down on you as you KEEP SAYING, No I do not AS I KEEP SAYING. Everyone does stupid crap. Good lord you can't let anything go.

I've been to three proms. My junior, my senior, and my girlfriend's senior. For my senior prom, I decided to go as a group, as opposed to a couple. I find it to be a little more fun, when you go with a group of friends. However, the drive was a massive pain in the arse, because the prom was held at a place called "Woodland Hills" which was located well over thirty minutes from where I lived. All three proms were decent for the most part, but the real fun usually wasn't until afterwards at Bahama Breeze. A little after prom/homecoming tradition we had.
