Professor Layton VS Ace Attorney-Nintendo 3DS

Exactly.

One thing to consider, according to one of the "Capcom-Unity" Blogs:
One snag though. The game has only been announced for Japan. Want it available outside of Japan? Shout out in the comments! The more comments we get for this blog post, the better!

The main reason being that while Layton is obviously very popular outside of Japan, Ace Attorney doesn't quite have as many sales under it's belt (internationally [and including all game re-releases] 3.9 million units for Ace Attorney versus 9.5 million units for Professor Layton), however considering the continued western releases prior for both franchises, the "Japan-only" limitation hopefully won't last for long.

Sending comments to this blog, or petitions/emails to Capcom, or just trying to make your voice heard on the matter, probably wouldn't hurt though.

I'm reaaaaaaaaaally hoping this thing makes it stateside, if there's at least an english language option then I'll be happy.

It'll come over. Duh.

Capcom'd be stupid to not agree to a join-release with Level-5's NA branch. Layton is Level-5's flagship series and sells at least twice as much as AA, they'll get some of the cash, and it'll bring some of the Layton fans to the AA series

easy money, really

Joining the shots, the site and its print counterpart reveal that Layton and Ace Attorney's Phoenix Wright meet in"Labyrinth City," a city in a different world. Wright hopes to challenge the city's "Witch Trials," which apparently follow some difficult to grasp rules. As for Layton, his role isn't clear at present.

One new gameplay system is the "Gunshuu Saiban" system. That translates to "Mob Judgement." Standard rules do not apply when the mob rules. Phoenix Wright will have to face off in questioning against crowds of witnesses.

Famitsu introduces new characters like Mahoney (in the above screens, the blond girl), the accused witch Phoenix Wright defends, and Jeeken (the red-haired guy with the sword), the prosecutor in the case.

Professor Layton VS Ace Attorney is due for 3DS release in 2012.

Hope Level-5 will bring this game out from japan too.
