Problems with my external HDD...

I'm trying to transfer some Toku eps into my external HDD to make some space for newer Toku eps, but whenever they're transfering halfway, it'll immediately say "Delayed Write Failed" and the USB connection will cut off itself. any ideas what's the problem here?

Perhaps it's overheating?

It's not overheating actually, I just plug it in, transfer one file and then the thing just happened.

Does the same thing happen when you try to transfer other files? Or does it just happen with the Toku eps?
