The world was torn apart in the Great Ranger War, leaving many cities and planets ravaged. Fifteen years have passed and the Rangers were long forgotten...

Unknown to the public, someone has uncovered the lost power of the Rangers from which he recreated the original team of Rangers. However, this man was murdered and the new Power Coins were lost into ocean, only to scatter throughout the world.

In Angel Grove, the first city plagued during the War, conditions have gone from bad to worse. Crime has run rampant and the people are afraid for their lives. People are murdered, innocents are defiled, and minds are lost. As organized crime, drugs, psychopaths, and greater evils crawl through the streets of the once peaceful Angel Grove, humanity begins to count their remaining days before decency is lost.

Yet, whispers are starting to fly about. As the police find themselves backed into a corner, unable to help the people they swore to serve, vigilantes in colored uniforms have sprung into action. These beings fight to protect the innocent and serve their own justice.

These warriors of justice call themselves... Power Rangers.

Rules:

1. No Godmodding. This is the worst thing that you could possibly do, so don't do it.

2. Keep Cursing to a bare minimum. I understand the situation that were in, but hey, no one has to be a drunk sailor.

3. Romance is fine, hell, it's a part of growing up. Just don't get too freaky. A kiss is fine, just no sex.

4. No killing anyone off unless the other person agrees to it.

5. If you're going to be away for a long period of time, please let me know. And if you're tied into some big storyline, have someone you trust take over your character please.

6. Write at least one good paragraph a post. I understand writer's block, but at least come up with something. Talk about your character's feelings, their past, surroundings, anything really.

7. Don't advance the plot. There will be points when I'll let other people create scenarios, but for now, it's all under me.

8. Most importantly, have fun. When everyone is having fun, the rp is going to be great.

Ranger Rules: These are the unique rules that the Rangers have to follow.

1. There can only be the six original Rangers. However, gender is not confined to color, so Red can be a female, and even the Green Ranger can be a girl.

2. The Zords won't come into play yet. But when they do, remember that teamwork is the only way we'll all come together.

3. Like Zordon said, never escalate a battle unless needed. So, when faced with fighting in a situation, only morph when needed.

4. Grow up! Unlike the Power Rangers we grew up with, this RP is intended to present a more mature, realistic, dramatic side to the classic franchise. This will be the "big boy's" PR, so to speak.

Ranger System

All Rangers are vaguely based upon the same system, except there are alterations that each Ranger can excel in.

Red System
The Red Ranger is the physically strongest system of the six, while other fields are balanced compared to other Rangers. Also, it is the second most adaptable when dealing with other equipment.

Blue System
Excels in polearm handling, as well as being the one system with the highest heat resistance of all the other Rangers. This is offset by a lower cold resistance

Black System
Excels in long range weaponry and blunt/axe type weapons. Also has the highest cold resistance of all the Rangers. This is offset by a lower heat resistance.

Yellow System
Excels in dual wielding weaponry. Also, this system is the fastest of all Rangers. This is offset by a lower defense.

Pink System
Excel in long range weaponry. This system is the most accurate than all Rangers with a more advanced aiming HUD. This is offset by a lower strength.

Green System
Matches Red in specs, while also having the greatest defense thanks to the Dragon Shield. Capable of being a standalone, the Green System, in theory, is the best system. This is offset by the fact it is the easiest to corrupt.

Ranger System Weaponry and Equipment
All Ranger Systems have the following:

Power Morpher
A belt buckler device with a handle and silver plating. In the center is a clamp that claims the Power Coin and keeps it secure until the user presses the release button. The device is strong enough to even be used as a weapon, mostly in the fashion of a knuckle duster (a larger variant of brass knuckles). The Green Ranger system uses a gold plated Power Morpher and is able to reenergize other Power Coins.

Bladeblaster
The standard firearm/combat knife of all Rangers. The handle of the weapon unfolds out and the hand guard is slid over the barrel to turn into gun mode. The blade in knife mode can extend or be retracted. The Bladeblasters can be used in tandem to use the technique "Ranger Strike."

Power Beam
The eyes of the helmets can be used as head lamps in dark environments.

Power Siphon
A last resort system. When the other Rangers are rendered physically incapable, the remaining Ranger can latch the Morphers onto his/her belt and siphon their powers. This causes the suit to be "stained" with streaks of the siphoned colors and allows the Ranger to summon the siphoned systems' weaponry. This method is physically taxing on a Ranger and cannot be used for long.

Power Soul
The other last resort system. In times of great danger, the Power Coins may recognize the heightened desperation of the user. When this occurs, the soul of Power Coin's source of power can and will possess the user. When possessed, the user will behave in a bestial manner to emulate their creature, down to their roar. In this state, the user's strength is greatly increased but at the cost of self control. This system is also physically taxing on a Ranger and cannot be used for long.

Red System

Power Sword
The Red Ranger's longsword weapon, very sturdy and well balanced in make.

Tyranno-Glaive
The Red Ranger's secondary weapon, a polearm with a blade that can extend on command.

Power Scope
The Red Ranger's visor can be used as a heat detection scope, ideal in dark areas when looking for living creatures.

Blue System

Power Lance
The Blue Ranger's polearm with a claw shaped blade at both ends. The weapon can be broken down to use two maces.

Tricera-Horn
The Blue Ranger's secondary weapon. Two horn shaped knives that can be used as programmable boomerangs that never fail.

Power Tracer
The Blue Ranger's visor can be used to create maps and set up points for which the Tricera-Horns can follow.

Yellow System

Power Daggers
The Yellow Ranger's daggers, very lightweight and works well with Yellow's high speed.

Saber-Claws
The Yellow Ranger's secondary weapon. Blades extend from the gloves to add a longer and deadlier reach.

Power Boost
The boots of the Yellow Ranger can be charged to increase the running speed and jumping height.

Black System

Power Axe
The Black Ranger's axe weapon, capable of cleaving most objects in two. Can also turn into the Power Cannon, a very powerful, but slow reloading, firearm.

Mammoth Hammer
The Black Ranger's secondary weapon. It's even more powerful than the Megaton Hammer!

Power Gauntlets
The gloves of the Black Ranger can be charged to increase punching and hand held weapon power.

Pink System

Power Bow
The Pink Ranger's bow and arrow weapon, very handy for piercing long range targets.

Ptera-Sniper
The Pink Ranger's personal weapon formation, by combining the Bladeblaster and Power Bow together, Pink can create a powerful, but hefty sniper rifle.

Power Zoom
The Pink Ranger's visor can be used as binoculars, as well as a zooming targeting scope for the weapons.

Green System

Dragon Dagger
The Green Ranger's dagger (although it's more of a dirk). The weapon functions as a flute, used to summon and control the Dragonzord by remote. The Summoning Song can also charge up the Dragon Shield and make Green invincible while playing it.

Dragon Magnum
The Green Ranger's secondary weapon, dual six shooter weapons of high caliber. The weapon features voice activated commands, requiring reloading after each firearm spends six shots. The two weapons can combine to create the Dragon Shot, a shotgun formation capable of using Green's personal finisher, Dragon's Fire.

Dragon Shield
The Green Ranger's armor consisting of a golden chest plate, armbands, and cuff trimmings. It already heightens Green's defense, but can make him invincible when used with the Dragon Dagger's flute function. However, the invincibility renders him useless in combat, except for an indestructible meat shield.

Dragon Scope
Similar to the Power Scope, the Dragon Scope combines the function of the Power Scope and Power Zoom, as well as the added function for night vision when the heat scanner is rendered useless.

Ranger Compatibility
Due to the nature of some of the Rangers' specs, Rangers are compatible with each other on the battleground.

Black and Pink Ranger
Due to the nature of excelling in long range weapons, the Black and Pink Rangers can swap weapons as well as combine the two together to create the Power Crossbow.

Blue and Yellow Ranger
Another example of weapon combination, Blue and Yellow can swap a piece of their weapon set. When holding a piece of the Power Lance and Power Dagger, the two can combine to make two kusari-gama weapons called the Power Whip.

Green and Red
Green and Red can swap weapons or use them in tandem. The Power Sword and Dragon Dagger cannot be combined together, however their powers can mix due to the similar systems in the Red and Green Ranger suits. This in turn, energizes both blades to convert them into beam weaponry.

Blue and Green
Blue and Green can also create the Power Whip, but only one of them. However, a Power Whip using the Dragon Dagger as the weight is more powerful than one using the Power Dagger.

Red and Blue
The Power Sword can combine with one piece of the Power Lance to create the Power Spear, a stronger variant of the Lance.

Black and Yellow
The Power Daggers can combine to the opposite end of the Power Axe's blade to convert it into the Power Pickaxe. The Power Pickaxe is more deadlier than the Power Axe, due to its piercing ability.

Green and Pink
The Power Bow can convert into the Power Harp when enchanted with the Dragon Dagger's energy. The Power Harp can use several musical based enchantments and conjurations.

Name: Alexander "Xander" Kinneas

Appearance:

Personality: A brash individual, Xander is constantly cracking jokes. He is extremely sarcastic, and hates stupid people that don't understand what he says the first time around. He is the kind of person to usually act first and ask questions later.

History: Born three years before the Ranger War had ended, Xander thought he had a good life. He had loving parents, a good house, and a nice neighborhood, or so he thought. Although things were almost to the closing point in the war, Angel Grove was thrown into deep chaos. As a result of the panic, crime rates had skyrocketed, and the once nice neighborhood that he had occupied, became riddled with crime. Fearing for thier young son's life, Xander's parents decided to leave Angel Grove for a better life, but on the advent of their depature, they were involved in a tragic hostage situation, and both of his parents were killed infront of his very eyes, the event scarring him throughout most of his life.

Soon, his grandparents adopted him, leading him off to a better, more secure part of Angel Grove. His life was soon put back on track, and he began to forget about the incident with his parents. The war soon ended, and while the rest of Angel Grove suffered, this new, more prestigous area prospered, allowing some help to the other areas of Angel Grove, but not much. Xander however, hated this new life, but began to accept it as he grew older, and more mature. He soon became a straight A student, and was getting ready to be accepted into many prestigous colleges, until one night.

During an outing with his current girlfriend, the girl and Xander were walking home from a movie in a bad part of Angel Grove, when suddenly, some gang members began to terrorize the duo. Xander tried to put up a good, respectable fight, but the gang members cheated during the fight, knocking Xander to the ground, and holding him down while they began to beat and rape his girlfriend. The incident would forever stick in Xander's mind. As the gang finished up with his girlfriend and left, Xander, to the best of his ability crawled slowly over to her, and held her as she cried. As the police came to give them help, Xander found out that they didn't want to find the gang out of fear for themselves.

So during his recovery at the hospital, Xander planned revenge on the gang. As soon as the exited the hospital, he would go after the gang and defeat each and every one of the members responsible for hurting him and his girlfriend. But soon, tragedy struck, when the girl died of her injuries. This had put a damper on Xander's plans. Grief stricken, and in more rage than he could control, Xander left the hospital, returning to the very spot that the incident took place in. After no one had showed up, Xander began to ravage an old house, but something inside the house took him by surprise. Inside of an old cigar box, one that he would've forgotten about if he had not been drawn to it, found a golden coin, one with the image of a mastodon on it. He took the coin, because he thought it "spoke" to him in a way, and left the house. But as luck would have it, he found a member of the gang, and quickly interogated him to the location of all of the gang members.

Xander soon found the hideout of the gang, an old movie theatre in another abandoned part of Angel Grove. He soon began to fight off each and every one of the gang members, regardless if they were there or not, but they had strength in numbers, and Xander couldn't hold out for long. Fearing it was the end of his life, he quickly fingered the coin in his pocket for some kind of luck, and as luck would have it, the coin had brandished some kind of knuckle duster along with it. Taking the duster out of his pocket, while in the center was the mastodon coin, he cried out the coin's namesake, and a bolt of black lightning hit him, and soon, he was in a suit of black armor so to speak. Recognizing the armor that he was in, the gang soon began to back off, calling him the Black Ranger. Xander got up, stunned at his new transformation, and then laid waste to the gang. The gang, from then on out, was no longer together.

After his transformation, and the defeat of the gang, Xander decided that he could do some serious good fighting as the new Black Ranger. Although Xander would balance his college life with a part time job, he would also fight crime as the Black Power Ranger.

Equipment:

Power Axe
The Black Ranger's axe weapon, capable of cleaving most objects in two. Can also turn into the Power Cannon, a very powerful, but slow reloading, firearm.

Mammoth Hammer
The Black Ranger's secondary weapon. It's even more powerful than the Megaton Hammer!

The gloves of the Black Ranger can be charged to increase punching and hand held weapon power.

Other Various Talents: Xander is a good student. He is very smart at deducing situations, at least when he's trying to pay attention that is. He is an accomplished martial artist, although he is only self taught.

Misc Notes: Xander is either thinking about becoming a lawyer, or a chef. Before a fight, or just whenever, Xander will curl his fingers into a fist and crack his wrist, but only on his right hand. Xander has episodes, so to speak. When he remembers the incident with his past girlfriend, he will fly into a strange fit of rage, which starts when he cocks his head to the left. This rage will often last from anywhere from two minutes, to about an hour.
