Power Rangers RPM

Ok I know I've said many times that the entire Disney PR era is pretty much crap and that Dino Thunder is the only one that comes close to being decent.

However, after seeing the RPM trailer, I think this show will kill every single PR season Disney ever made in the past. I can't believe it took SIX FUCKING YEARS to turn things around, but who knows? Maybe this could be the only kickass Disney PR season ever made and then go back to being **** again, especially since I heard the man behind the storyline was fired during production of the series.

I don't think it will be as good as Kamen Rider Dragon Knight or Saban's PR seasons, but it seems to come pretty damn close to being as good (according to the trailer). Still, it seems the competing American Toku gave Disney a wake up call. Maybe it really was lack of serious and legitimate competition that was holding Disney back from making quality PR shows.

With Kamen Rider Dragon Knight, Kamen Rider Decade, Samurai Sentai Shinkenger, and Power Rangers RPM, I think we should declare 2009 as The Year of Tokusatsu. Hell, this could be the first step in making Tokusatsu mainstream worldwide, including the U.S.

All we need is an epic Ultraman series and an epic Godzilla movie. ^_^

ABSOLUTELY RIGHT ALLIERX87! This year is TRULY the Golden Year of Tokusatsu.

Now this is probably the time when my dream for a TOKUSATSU REVOLUTION has started. Man! If this keeps up the pace, then this I salute Toei, Adness and Disney for their wonderful 2009 strike.

My only complaint about how the show will be is that the only Ranger that I like is the Yellow Ranger. The Red and Blue Rangers aren't anything special IMO.

Also, I think they should make a better henshin/morph call than "Get in Gear!" You may disagree with me, but that's just how I feel. And I wonder how they're gonna put the cutesy looking mecha/Zords in a dark setting? It just doesn't go together.

Oh and I think that none of the RPM demo themes should be used because they sound like emo rock. I think they should go for a song that sounds similar to "Rockstar" (Jason Nevins Remix) by N.E.R.D., not only because of the tune, but also because of the "It's almost over now" part.

Aside from that, this could be the very first time a PR series does better than its Sentai counterpart (Go-onger).

Saban did better. And their PRs are better than Sentais but now, Sentais are better than PR but if this PR pulls the trigger, then WOW! I salute Disney at last!

PR In Space did better than Megaranger, but only to a certain degree. I loved the storyline they pulled off, but I think the characters and the names of their arsenal and mecha are better than the ones in PRiS. Also, I think Nejiro is better than Astronema and her crew (except for the grunts in Megaranger though).

And I think Ohranger is pretty much on par with Zeo. I like the storyline in Ohranger more than Zeo, but the characters are just as good as each other.

But I think both Baranoia and Machine Empire suck. They seem like uninspired villains to me.

And I don't think the other Saban PR shows are better than their Sentai counterparts even though I like the others. Dairanger and Timeranger (two of my favorite Sentai shows) are two good examples.

What I'm trying to say is that I wanna see a PR series that's leaps and bounds ahead of its Sentai counterpart.

Also, I don't think we should credit Disney for doing this. Remember, they've done crappy PR shows in the past and lot too, so we cannot trust them completely. We should thank Eddie Guzelian, the man behind the RPM storyline. I'm sure he begged and pleaded Disney to make this season as good as he envisioned.

And I also think he felt the same way most of us felt with all the previous Disney PR seasons. :P

I believe that was the reason why Disney PR wasn't serious, thanks for the reason.

and you forgot Tomica Hero Rescue Fire.

I couldn't agree even more.
