I finally decided on an 9 for the poll. A real solid episode all around.

Petrified Xander: A Sappy plot.

After our first MF preemption, we get an episode...that looks good...which doesn't necessarly become a good episode. There were quite a few flaws.

Lets start with Vida's hair color. Obviously, she can't make up her mind. It's either white, red,, or even green. Coincidence? No, but Angie Diaz sucks.

Toby being able to solve a puzzle to the "Fire Heart", that could POSSIBLY give away their identity...earned a big WTF moment.

Chip talking about the "Fire Heart" OUT LOUD in front of Leelee earned himself another WTF moment

Vida getting slimed is gonna get a lot of lawsuits from Nickelodeon.

Xander's little tree moment reminded me of Carlos getting stung in PRiS. And what's with Xander getting boxing gloves. It really doesn't suit him. As Phineas said, green suits him best, a WTF moment again. But technically it's half the moment because of Chip's claim of using the "Boxing gloves."

Oh and Fire Heart's some lame ass Dragon Egg as the toy's advertised. Let's hope it doesn't turn out to be another "Magnificence" episode with the egg...no wait...the dragon battlizer...I get it. First RIC got to be a thong, now the Dragon gets to be...uh...whatever. It gets 6 puntos from me. Very semi-fillerish.

Another premption again thanks to "32 episodes." God knows if PR will soon be a mini-series.

Maybe she likes changing her hair color. Maybe she doesnt want to stay with the same color every day of her life. You hate her for being different? Hm.

Toby being able to solve a puzzle to the "Fire Heart", that could POSSIBLY give away their identity...earned a big WTF moment.

How could it give away their identity? Toby didnt know wtf it was. It was just a puzzle box to him. I think it was great how they made other characters useful. The writers branch out. They dont stick all the plots on the rangers alone. They allow supporting characters to get in on some action sometimes.

Yup, because the show established already that Chip is excitable and can get loud sometimes. Human beings (remember that species?) arent perfect. I loved that Chip got loud mouthed because it shows how HUMAN he can be and how he can make MISTAKES.

And even if he did talk about the Fire Heart out loud, how is Leelee or anyone else supposed to know wtf Chip is talking about? (Assuming Leelee was just a normal shopper, etc etc) Chip could be talking about a video game or Fire Heart could be the name of the puzzle box. Anything. It's not a big deal

LMAO. Nickelodeon doesnt have a copyright on green slime. Nickelodeon couldn't sue for jack. What was wrong with the green slime bit anyway?

I thought it suited him just well. They are weapons that all 5 rangers can use and it comes from Magiranger. Houka used them in Magiranger and I didnt see anyone saying "they dont suit her!"

Toys actually said the Fire Heart would be a Dragon Egg? Link me please.

And what's wrong with a Dragon Egg? ; The Dragon Egg might hatch. Wtf did you want it to be. Something tells me you wouldn't have been happy no matter what the contents of the box were.

I believe Xander's friend that Troblin will take a big part in something very soon. He may be the one who saves the rangers at the last moment in the last episodes. Like how Piggy saved the world in SPD. If it wasn't for Piggy, the whole team wouldn't made it far.

The ep was...ok.Not great.

Houka didn't get the gloves at the end of an episode that had nothing to do with boxing so compare like with like please. Stage 14: Burning Punch and Episode 10: Petrified Xander.

I give this a 8. That episode was pretty good. It's not that bad. I loved the original boxing battle scene. That was definitely better than Magiranger's, IMO. It was nice to see them to keep Sentai footage away.

 

[Poweranimals]

This episode was awesome. Xander focus is always a plus. It's cool how they seem to be focusing on his indivisual hang ups. Last time it was wanting to the one in charge and this week it was all about his looks. But deep down, Xander's a good guy and that's what is important. Also a nice touch that both episodes were about the Fire Heart, which I really enjoyed to see them continuing that plot line.

Speaking of the Fire Heart, I'm so glad that it didn't turn out to be the boxing gloves. The dragon egg was a nice touch. No doubt this will turn out to be the Battlizer so that'll be an interesting to see that develop in the future. I really enjoyed the scenery in this one with the mountain. It was hillarious that when they found the Fire Heart chest, Xander just had to see what was behind the other door. Nice little fight too.

I wasn't thrilled about the boxing gloves, but the fight with them actually looked great. I was surprised to see them actually create their cgi sequence. I don't think they've done that before. I was surprised to see people disliked the puns. The puns themself weren't that funny, but the it was it was a cool in joke that I thought was played nicely. Kind of reminded me of the made up word jar. Although not quite that funny.

Xander turning into a tree actually looked good and we got to see where Phineas lives and Toby is actually involved with solving the puzzle of the Fire Heart. I almost forgot that we got to see Leelee in the Underworld scenes with Necrolai. Leelee looked uber hot this week. I'm glad they revealed her identity instead of waiting until the last few episodes which probably would've happened in S.P.D. This makes things a lot more interesting. A lot of continuity this week.

On the next episode, Clare becomes Sailor Moon and the White Ranger seems to be making some kind of an appearence.
